I guess I didn't get egg on my face.  September 27th was a pretty good time to buy stocks.  Both the midterms seasonal and the end of year seasonal has been working for me in spite of Fed tightening.  Not bad for a "socialist".

Congrats on your award  joj!

You do realize that you started a new thread on this less than 24 hours ago?

I'll assume that the current thread is the one you want us to converse at. Correct?

In December, the days are short and stocks usually get bought.

  • The Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500 and Russell 2000 indexes have ended higher in December more often than any other month, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
  • The Russell 2000 has gained ground in December 83% of the time since 1987. The average return in that month is 2.8%; the best average return for any month of the year.
  • The S&P 500 has risen 73% of all December

The post yesterday "Stocks on Fire" was about what was happening yesterday.

Today's post was just me tooting my horn by hunting down that link from September in which I bought stocks.

Of course my lack of humility might be deserving of a smack down by the market.  :)

Actually, I think that this last post or yours deserves post of the month for December(so far) for the acknowledgment and honest perspective/self reflection that keeps us all tethered to reality.

But I totally know the awesome emotion of making a great market call that results in the financial reward with the account size increasing and greatly appreciating you sharing it with us.

EUPHORIA!

And it's totally based on your market insight at the time.

Here's more from you for everybody:
