THE WORST PART OF ALL THIS BS, IMO? ALL THE FOWL THAT HAS BEEN DESTROYED, IS / WAS SAFE TO EAT!! IT JUST NEEDS COOKED TO THE SAFE 165 (?) DEGREES, JUST LIKE ALL FOWL SHOULD BE COOKED. THERE IS NO REASON THEY COULDN'T HAVE BEEN TURNED INTO CANNED MEAT. SAME AS WITH ALL LIVESTOCK THAT HAVE "PICKED UP" BIRD FLU. PEOPLE ARE STARVING & THE GOVT. DESTROYS LIFE SAVING FOOD.
THERE'S A METHOD BEHIND THEIR MADNESS.

I'm packing to head to Detroit to assist my 98 year old Dad for a week.
I think the main reason to liquidate large #s of poultry is to prevent the spread ASAP and saving them for consumption would help it to spread.
