Leaving for Detroit shortly to assist my 98 year old Dad for the next week.
I'll still be posting but maybe not as much. Please continue on.
Most importantly, have a safe trip!
DRIVE SAFE... ENJOY YOUR DAD. HUG 'EM WHILE YA GOT 'EM & KEEP THE FAITH.
How about a crop assessment as you made your trip.
N Iowa, Mn SD guys on other forums sure complaining
Here ya go, tjc:
The crop looked great almost the entire time with the heat wave in the very early stages. There had also been some rain the previous week in some of this area:
Rainfall the past week/7 days: June 19, 2024

I traveled from the southwest corner of IN to the northeast corner.
The IN corn crop was rated just 6% p/vp, bean crop just 5% p/vp 2 days earlier and it hadn't changed much since then.
A week of this weather will cause next Monday's rating to drop several points as Indiana sees a "flash drought"
On my trip back, next week the view should be different!
Still in detroit a few more days
Returned from Detroit yesterday evening.
Leaving on vacation with my family to Alabama early tomorrow!
ENJOY YOUR VACATION, MIKE. DRIVE SAFE... TRY TO STAY AWAY FROM THE INTERNET, OKAY? VACATIONS ARE MEANT TO BE JUST THAT... THE TIME TO GET AWAY FROM STUFF YA DO, EVERYDAY. WE ALL NEED THAT CHANGE OF PACE.
Thanks, Jean!
While in Detroit, I decided to record Dad and I singing a couple songs that you probably know very well!
