We've been watching the 2 greatest US women's athletes in the history of their sport and in all of US women's athletics this week!!

Deb and I have been watching  but mainly because she loves the gymnastics!

Our daughter and grandaughteri did gymnastics and Deb has been following it for decades.

I watched the entire 1500 meters of Kati Ledecky's win in swimming and it was mind boggling. She beat 2nd place by something like 13 seconds. WOW!

She has been the most dominant female athlete for any sport in history, competing the last decade.

Even more dominant that Simone Biles, believe it or not!

Simone Arianne Biles Owens[4] (née Biles; born March 14, 1997)[5] is an American artistic gymnast. Her nine Olympic medals and 30 World Championship medals make her the most decorated gymnast in history,[6] and she is widely considered one of the greatest gymnasts of all time.[7] With nine Olympic medals, she is the fifth-most decorated female Olympic gymnast, and has the most Olympic medals earned by a U.S. gymnast.

Incredibly, this gal is even MORE impressive!!!!

Kathleen Genevieve Ledecky (/ləˈdɛki/ lə-DEK-ee; born March 17, 1997) is an American competitive swimmer. She has won eight Olympic gold medals and 21 world championship gold medals, the most in history for a female swimmer. With 13 medals, she is also the most decorated female American Olympian in history. She has won a world record 16 individual gold medals at the World Aquatics Championships.[6] Ledecky's 7 individual gold medals at the Olympics and 26 overall medals at the World Aquatics Championships are records in women's swimming‌. Ledecky is the world record holder in the women's 800- and 1500-meter freestyle (both long course and short course) as well as the former world record holder in the women's 400-meter freestyle (long course). She also holds the fastest-ever times in the women's 500-, 1000-, and 1650-yard freestyle events. She is widely regarded as the greatest female swimmer of all time and one of the greatest Olympians of all time.
