Since Israel is on a time zone that's 7 hours ahead of East Coast Time, ceremonies and actions noting this event 1 year ago, will have been going on all day there on Monday by the time we get up…..and at other places on the other side of the big pond.
One of those extremely rare events that stand out and use the date when referring to it.
