Election Ruminations

Trump comes roaring back!

It wasn't the VP pick.

It wasn't the youth vote due to Gaza.

It wasn't a poorly run campaign by Harris:  Evidence:  She campaigned exclusively in the swing states and lost, on average, 1.5% relative to Biden's winning performance in those states in 2020.  How did she do in the other 43 states?  On average, 3.5% worse than Biden in 2020.  Therefore, where she campaigned, she fared better than places she didn't.

It was primarily inflation.  Not that presidents have much control over inflation.  But that's the perception.  "Things were better under Trump."

I thought Dobbs would get Harris over the finish line.  It turns out young men without college education came in big for Trump and he also has closed the gap with Hispanics to nearly even.

There is no solution for the hollowing out of the middle class.  Those struggling turned to Trump.  In 2016 I said let's give him a chance.  But now I'm afraid I know him too well.  I hope I don't hear a Trump supporter offer a peep about how they hate crime.  They elected a criminal.

Thanks, joj!

I respect your opinions but disagree with some of that.

These are some of my thoughts:

With regards to Trump being a criminal, I've heard the Ds repeat that thousands of times...........not realizing that may have ADDED a million votes for Trump yesterday.

The Ds think Trump voters are hypocrites or dishonorable because they voted for a felon and they are completely missing the reality.

They are NOT voting for Trump despite knowing that he's a convicted criminal based on legit crimes and he belongs in jail.

Most of them were STILL voting for Trump, knowing that every one of those convictions were bogus, manufactured crimes and a weaponizing of the criminal justice system.

Then there were a small number of people that used that to change their minds about voting for him.

A Larger than that number, were people that decided to vote for Trump BECAUSE THEY WERE BOTHERED THAT THE CORRUPT CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM WOULD MAKE UP BOGUS CRIMES TO HURT A POLITICAL OPPONENT.

Did that impact the results of the election?

You labeling him as a criminal suggests that you think the convictions were true justice. Correct me if thats a bad assumption.

we should look at it this way:

His best performance yet, by far occurring AFTER this happened tells us what Americans think.

No, not just MAGA/far right Americans. They voted for him in 2016 and 2020.

We have to ask, what is different about Trump in 2024 that caused him to do so much better?

Most everything about him is the same, except, in my opinion his offensive communicating and saying crazy things is WORSE!

I believe the D strategies to destroy him BACKFIRED BIG! Many millions of other people, apparently agree and xpressed that in this last election.

Using this tactic to destroy Donald Trump has been a mainstay approach by the Ds and justice department the past 8 years!!!

Here on November 6, 2024, does it look like Donald Trump has been destroyed???

He’s hitting his peak!

This, in spite of him losing millions of moderate Rs or Liz Cheney type Rs.

where did all the new people come from to replace his lost supporters.

Bingo!
Thanks very much for adding additional insight and solid evidence for this,  Larry!

Not coincidentally,  those  same groups are also the ones who are criminally profiled unjustly by  law enforcement and the criminal justice system in our country,  often based on race and gender.

Those men  can relate more than the rest of America to the justice system targeting him unfairly and piling on bs charges, using manufactured evidence and justification because of who he is and NOT what he did.

This mentality not only applies to the belief that cops do this on the streets but also prosecutors do this in the court system.

The previous post with prior links shows many dozens of pieces of the overwhelming, powerful evidence of them doing the exact same thing to Trump but in a different realm….politics. And with the same unethical targeting and completely different justice system for Donald Trump compared to other Americans.

There were other reasons for his gains across the board but this was a big one and it strongly contradicts the belief from Ds that have pinned the criminal narrative on him and repeat it over and over and over ….that it’s severely damaged his reputation and should be  negatively impacting his voter support.

Its done the exact opposite and backfired, helping to get him elected again.

This is why I have continued to  vehemently insist that they stick to attacking Trump for all his many, many legit flaws and crimes.

When you make massive things up about somebody, even a bad person, it creates a legit reason to have empathy for that person.

With  less than a month to go, the Ds and MSM came out with the Hitler attack. Insisting that he admired Hitler because they have so much in common and bla, bla, bla!

Non TDS people know this is way over the top and some of us think it’s offensive and blatantly misleading, including because doing the comparison implies that Hitler was not  as bad as he really was.

Please do point out Trumps mega flaws, I have a thread here where I let him have it full force using profound, reality backed evidence.

you guys can talk all around the problems all day but here s the deal. You had a fraud of a candidate in unison with Biden calling 1/2 the country garbage. Then that fraud comes out last nite and tops every lie she has told. What did she say last nite. I love this country, I really love America. Now just to put an explanation point on all the crap, yes total crap she has come with this is the topper and do you not really think Americans have had enough? Do you really believe they have not seen thru this fraud for years? My heart is full she offered. Ohh hell yes but even more important her and Bidens bank accounts are full and that was the goal all along.

And again where are the missing 18 million votes offered in 2020 but not produced in this "most historic election in history" according to the libs, The election to save democracy. Remember that election and somehow we are 18 million votes short. You would have to wonder just where are those missing votes. And if you were an honest broker you would be questioning again just what happened in 2020

Jan 6 was a crime.  Hundreds of people were convicted and are serving time. The leader of that crime has been elected president.  I can live with that.  But DON’T complain about crime!!

You parrot Trump when you talk about the weaponization of the justice system.

There were some who committed a crime yes.
They were many many more who did  not. And were persecuted falsely. Not to mention if you would of noticed j. there was a US service member killed by a unqualified dei hire that day and it was murder. Now that is a crime but how many days did he spend in jail I wonder.

I really do not care but you and all the msnbc fakes, the cnn frauds and the media at large can all look at this election and complain and blame but a logical person might advise some blame pointed at the left for their candidates and presentation.

At these 2 links below, you'll find hundreds of posts and articles from me elaborating the details of the Mt. Everest sized pile of evidence showing that Jan 6 and attempts to overturn the 2020 were serious crimes committed by Donald Trump.  But to my amazement, almost 4 years later, they never took him to trial and convicted him of his MAJOR CRIMES. Yet NY was given free reign to manufacture  crimes, charges and penalties with nonsense convictions and penalties. THOSE were the ones that "legally" make him a felon.

How can this make sense in a country with a rational and fair justice system?

So why did I vote for Trump?

1. I had decided to abstain because of my PERSONAL feelings and the facts presented above. I could NEVER vote for Harris or Biden in a zillion years.

2. On Oct. 28th, I discussed this with my wife in a casual conversation and she was vehement that it was my duty to vote, especially since I spend so my time here giving my political views. (mcfarm basically told me the same things several weeks earlier).  What a horrible example I would be to abstain because I didn't like the candidates.

3. She convinced me and I looked at legit reasons TO VOTE instead of using dozens of reasons for NOT voting. Ending the war in Ukraine fast under a Trump presidency immediately jumped out and since that time, I feel extremely justified for voting Trump for all the reasons that I've been speaking out against the war in Ukraine for over 2 years.

Congratulations to all Ukrainians this morning. Your long lived, horrific war with nothing but messages telling us we need to support it going on to infinity …….finally will see an end point.

The 2 people that clearly understand the authentic dynamics will be given power to use for ending the war as soon as possible. When will that be?

Dunno but much, MUCH sooner than those elites that are benefiting for self enrichment/agenda prefer. They have no rational end, point. Just a completely retarded victory plan with  no semblance   to-the reality on the ground.

That will end and hopefully a democracy will be restored with Ukrainians having the right to vote in a election again to either oust dictator Zelensky or he will choose not to run rather than face losing.
