Any time that you have fog, there is likely to be an inversion that traps the air in the near surface atmosphere. Along with light to calm winds.
Particulate matter and/or local pollution that is normally swept away from surface winds or from rising air or mixing is also trapped.
Many of these reports sound like they are just observing this but attributing it to a nefarious source. Maybe because everybody is still bent out of shape over the drone scare?
Or they don't trust our government and other sources, which makes them constantly suspicious enough to be vulnerable for believing things like this when they read or hear a conspiracy theory.

Please stop it! They are all just contrails that form naturally from the hot/humid exhaust of jets that is loaded with water vapor that condenses out in the cold air aloft.
You can only see them when skies are clear in that location and can tell if the relative humidity is high or not at the level the plane is flying at.
If the humidity is extremely low, the water vapor in the plane's exhaust will quickly be absorbed, leaving a short contrail or even no contrail.
If the humidity is higher but not high enough to form clouds, then much more of the humid plane's exhaust will condense out and it can take an hour+ for all of it to be absorbed by the humid atmosphere that doesn't have much room for more moisture.
People see this difference and think its the difference between a natural contrail and a chemtrail but its actually just the difference between dry air and humid air(between 30,000 to 42,000 feet where most commercial airliners fly, higher for military planes), with everything else held the same....... which impacts the size and longevity of the contrail!
And the speed of the upper level winds will determine the direction of the contrail (after it exits the plane) and how fast it spreads out.

When I was traveling between Evansville and Detroit to see my recently passed 99 year old dad, I could always listen to the different Relevant Radio stations the entire trip!
The one pic is dated 12-30-24 Florida. What was the temps in Florida that day at that time?

Florida is a huge state and temperatures at this time of year often differ by large double digit numbers from south to north as well as the weather.
If I wasn’t completely tied up with important Issues related to critical REAL weather that impacts school and our chess tournament scheduled for Saturday, it would be fun to bust more cases of this conspiracy theory.

OK, I just looked at the images again and what’s below them.
That is NOT TOXIC FOG. With almost 100% certainty those are a big swarm of no-see-ems.
Another lady in the article claims she saw chem trails before the toxic fog.
Chemtrails are a hoax/conspiracy theory that has been busted to smithereens by atmospheric scientists like me and other people that understand the atmosphere and science for as long as they’ve been reported.
If I knew nothing about the situation except the source reported “chemtrails” as the source of what she observed I would know for sure it’s bogus.
Gunter, that posted frequently here believed in chemtrails and a host of other completely wacko conspiracy theories.
im all for investigating everything and assuming nothing but, egads when the crystal clear, 100% scientific evidence and proof that chemtrails are just expected variations of contrails is there, it’s time for the chemtrail people to learn something to help themselves and to stop poisoning the minds of other people with junk science.
If I was on Relevant Radio earlier today, no way would I have been so direct and apologize to anybody offended but sometimes the truth requires assertiveness.
