It's not just bird flu that's causing egg prices to soar
Good article that I need to fact check more.
For instance this is what they put part of the blame on in 2 different sections:
"There is no single answer for why this bout of bird flu is so bad. It's partly a development issue and partly a climate-change issue."
"They may be more stressed because of climate change and resource availability, which could exacerbate their vulnerability."

This is complete donkey dung!!!
Climate change is massively greening up the planet and INCREASING resources/food for all creatures since chickens eat things that resulted from growing plants in the ground and photosynthesis.
The slight global warming has actually been BENEFICIAL to chickens with their average body temperature of 106 Deg. F and the fact that cold is what kills most life on this planet.
10 times more humans die from cold than heat. 200 times more life dies from cold compared to heat.
Climate change has caused more time in the optimal temperature range for chickens.
The biggest increase in global warming has been in the coldest places at the coldest times of year.
Summers in the US for instance are NOT hotter. Daytime highs are significantly COOLER during our Summers from climate change(caused by the increase in agricultural activity).
MOST CLIMATE CHANGE HAS BEEN BENEFICIAL TO CHICKENS!!!!

Here's the actual meteorological/climate data on our COOLER Summers that debunks the climate crisis BS narrative which is used to blame EVERYTHING on climate change............even while the vast majority of impacts from climate change are beneficial:
Cooling of US Midwest summer temperature extremes from cropland intensification
https://www.nature.com/articles/nclimate2825
Here we identify centennial trends towards more favourable growing conditions in the US Midwest, including cooler summer temperature extremes and increased precipitation, and investigate the origins of these shifts.

Meteorology 101 tells us what happens when the planet sees the temperature of the highest latitudes (coldest places) warmed up the most. This is beneficial warming!
Climate change means massive amounts of more food for almost all the creatures on this planet........including chickens!!!

Thanks, Jim. Not so big in Argentina! Thank God for the increase in CO2 which increases water efficiency by reducing the need for the plant to open the stomata on the underside of leaves as wide(stomata open to get the 100% beneficial CO2), which in turn reduces water loss from roots from transpiration. And also boosting yields from that scientific law called PHOTOSYNTHESIS, which the loony climate crisis narratives have completely lost sight of.
This is what they used to teach in schools when I was growing up:
This is the mostly hogwash they teach today: we have some great teachers, not knocking them. The blame goes to dishonest, biased scientists who are almost all Ds that let their political ideology impact their opinions. The media is even worse. Twisting facts to blame climate change for anything and everything. 1 party is mainly responsible for junk climate science.
#s 1(+1 deg. C) and #4 (~1 inch/decade) are true.
The other 6 are NOT true.
#6 is a galactic sized lie(not enough food)
Death by GREENING!

#2 is actually funny because it says more tornadoes. (heavier rains are true because the warmer atmosphere can hold ~7% more moisture). Warming the highest latitudes the most has decreased the meridional temperature gradient that fuels the violent tornadoes that do the most damage/kill the most people. Those type of tornadoes have fallen by 50% BECAUSE OF CLIMATE CHANGE!!

My neighbor built a small chicken coop and brought home some chicks one Easter for his boys. Eventually they were getting so many eggs they couldn’t eat them all. I benefited, their friends and family benefited.
Jim,
What a great idea for other people in this age of stratospheric egg prices!!

I've had a small flock of chickens for probably 35 years. Rarely buy eggs unless the hens are molting. Can't beat fresh eggs from your own hens !!!
