Honda moving production from Mexico to Indiana
Japanese automaker Honda will move production of one of its hybrid vehicles to Indiana in response to the Trump administration’s proposed tariffs affecting goods from Mexico, according to reports.
Pfizer contemplates moving some overseas production to its 13 US sites, while Merck & Co. expects to invest $8 billion in the country as Trump tariffs come into play.
Speculation as to what this actually will mean for the biopharma industry continues, but major manufacturers Pfizer and Merck & Co. revealed at this week’s TD Cowen Health Care Conference they have already begun gearing up to focus on US-based production.
