I am in west central Ohio which was a hotbed for bird flu starting back in November.  We are around 16 million birds depopulated.  Mostly layers but quite a few turkeys also.  In Ohio the last layer confirmation was about 2 weeks ago, but we had several turkey ops test positive this week.

It will take quite a while for these operations to return to production.  Taking around 4 or 5 months from infection to the barn back in business.  The birds often stay in the barns a month or more after they are euthanized before they are removed and composted.  Wasn't too bad during the cold months but with the warming temps in will start to get nasty.

Thanks much, buck!
I was reading all the individual reports and saw how bad it’s been in your area.
