Senate Democrats leery of blocking GOP bill fear shutdown politics have changed

They are right to be concerned that a forced D shutdown could backfire but not just from giving Musk more ammo to cut but MUCH MORE SO because Americans would see it as Ds acting political and not caring about the consequences to our country at an extraordinarily vulnerable time.

I believe that a D caused shut down would be one of the dumbest PR moves in the history of the party.

It would cause the D party to have played a role in whatever bad things happen in 2025 that related to the shutdown.

Please, pass the bill and let all the bad things that have started and will ramp up be blamed entirely on the Rs.

I can't believe they would even consider a shutdown.

However, after watching their very choreographed/planned out behavior last Tuesday, that included shunning a young boy with brain cancer, I think the judgment of their PR leaders is extremely compromised.

A big problem is that hate blinds.

The expression "Love is blind" is repeated often but even more powerful is the fact that "Hate and rage are the most blinding of all"

        Hate(and love)

Obviously we aren't in a political atmosphere that would evolve into peace, love and harmony, however, hatred is causing too many UNFORCED ERRORS.

Trimming back on the hatred is the best we can hope for.

(Hate for Jews, Hate for Muslims, Hate for Russia, Hate for Trump, Hate for Biden, Hate for Musk, Hate for Immigrants, Hate for trangenders, Hate for the opposite party............its become acceptable and 2nd nature to us.

Larry made a wonderful comment yesterday about MarketForum NOT being that way.

Musk Retweets ‘Hitler Didn’t Murder Millions’ Message Amid Ongoing Nazi Controversy

Tesla chief and presidential adviser Elon Musk shared a post Thursday that said public sector workers, not Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, murdered millions of people, marking the billionaire’s latest Nazi-related post as he and his electric vehicle company face continued backlash and boycotts as critics say his embrace of right-wing politics is veering more extreme.

Musk has faced antisemitism allegations since 2023, when the billionaire openly agreed with a post that claimed “Jewish communities have been pushing the exact kind of dialectical hatred against whites that they claim to want people to stop using against them.”

Musk, who sunk over $200 million into President Donald Trump’s campaign and has since become one of the president’s most senior advisers, also faced criticism for the “Sieg Heil”-like salute he made at a January inaugural event celebrating Trump’s win.

What say you, mc and other strong Trump supporters?

Mike, what say you?

Are any of you concerned about Musk being an anti-Semite?

 Thank you in advance

Musk being anti Jewish would rate as a near zero. The d's voting just like they had voted on the same CR the last 2 times it was before congress{of course a lib was Pres then} was hardly well thought out, smart, wise or anything but CYA. And with someone of Schumer's character leading the way on it should just pour sunlight all over these well known facts.
