Mc/MM, Thanks for the interesting back and forth and, most importantly the civility ITT. Actually, just about all of the regular posters in various threads have recently been mainly pretty civil including also joj, cutworm, other Mike, tjc, Jim M, amongst others (sorry if I left other names out).

Thanks very much, Larry.
That is an extremely appreciated compliment. We live in a world of increasing divisiveness and there are posters here that strongly disagree with each others views but we try to respect each other and communicate in a civil way.
You are one of the best at it, Larry and its especially nice to get a compliment from a person with your high standards of personal behavior and character.

Thank you, MM! I try! Strong disagreements allow for discussions to be robust, which keeps things interesting for the participants and readers. But keeping these robust discussions civil is a very important bonus and isn’t always easy for anyone including myself with a strong disagreement. The key to maintaining civility is to keep our egos in check. Not always easy. An ego can make anyone feel like he/she is superior to others in a discussion and that only he/she is correct. That can lead to a loss of civility.

Well stated, Larry!
Big ego's prevent people from seeing others views and prevent people from humanizing and sabotages empathy for those that are different than us.

Thank you, Mike! I appreciate the recognition! Most importantly I hope civility here continues to dominate in our robust discussions despite our big differences of opinion.
