Negotiating Tactic?

When Trump says outrageous things his supporters say he's employing a "negotiating tactic".   Well he is speaking out loud now that he's considering a 3rd term run in 2028.  I'm not convinced we will actually have an election in '28.

Could someone explain to me how this is a negotiating tactic?  What's the compromise?

And when he quotes the dictator Napoleon:  "Anyone who saves the country cannot break the law."  How is THAT a negotiating tactic?

And these steps (strides) toward tearing up our constitution should scare conservatives as much as liberals.   Some day Trump will be gone.  How would you feel about having a liberal as Dictator?

Trump isn't the first President to expand the powers of the executive branch.  It's been going on for generations.  But Trump has blown it out of the water.  Do people believe that after Trump is gone we will go back to normal?  I don't think so.  We've burned that bridge.

Again, this leftist radical nonsense has got to stop somewhere. Were you around when we just spent the last 4 years without a seating President and had unelected assistants and wives running the mess they created. You are quite welcome to your  opinion but please let the facts appear somewhere and sometime. Trump ran on an agenda. Trump was elected on a agenda. Trump has been amazingly trans parent in his agenda. Trump has been shot because of his agenda and yet he stays the course. Seems somewhere in  there the left should recognize these 80/20 issues are only going Trumps way. Seems obvious when Trumps approval is at time high and libs is all time lows.

Thanks, mcfarm/joj!

There are different ways to look at this.

One of them is the MSM using it to scare everybody and worry us that Trump is somehow going to take over and make himself a dictator and nobody will be able to stop him.

That's about as likely as us taking over Greenland, despite international laws that would disallow that and the VAST majority of people in the country being against it. And our country being against it.

Yes, Trump was elected by the majority of people in November and is fullfilling many promises that the people want but they DO NOT WANT Greenland.

Do they want Trump for a 3rd term?

I know the far right does but MOST Americans don't want a 3rd term. Even if they did, it would take 2/3rd majority from Congress to change the laws limiting a president to 2 terms and that is impossible with almost half of them being Ds and I doubt all the Rs would vote for that anyway.

Regardless of this being used to scare people by the MSM/D's , it does provide another strong piece of evidence of how pathological  President Trump's thinking is.

His mentality is deeply into the medically defined "delusions of grandeur" thinking.

The evidence is powerful and everywhere.

So even though Trump couldn't do this if he wanted, even if 51% of Americans wanted this (which is very unlikely-especially after the Trump recession-and experiencing crazy stuff and lies for 3+ years).

It's very fascinating how the MSM reports it however.

joj,

I agree strongly with your opinion about Trump saying outrageous things and his supporters always defending it, no matter how nuts. Sometimes its because they claim he's using it to negotiate, others its because he's too brilliant for us mere mortals to understand his strategies.

I totally understand where he's coming from most of the time when he says the craziest things!

There's no doubt that President Trump is the most powerful person in the world.

Elevating him to that position was the diametrically opposed, polar opposite way to treat his mental illness. Instead it has enabled him and MAXIMIZED positive reinforcement of his most pathological thoughts.

On this, we can be certain.

so one guy come long and states "Trump speaks out loud about 3rd term" and the other guy comes along and says its "fascinating on how the msm reports on it" and neither of them decide to be truthful and report just as happened once again today from the WH. A reporter brought the issue up again, not Trump. And Trump foolishly let that crazed biased lib reporter lead him right into opening up that topic again. Now to be fair Trump answered the question honestly and with accuracy but that part of course never will be reported either in the news or here at the hate Trump forum. Again today Trump never made mention of either trying for or even wanting a 3rd term but just like most every other topic including jan6th that all gets cleansed with hate Trump speech. Don't believe it? Are you watching what is happening  to the guy who is finding a billion/day, every day, 7 days a week of waste, fraud and abuse of tax payer dollars and his once beloved by the left, electric cars.

Hey mc,

The farmers at that AgTalk link don’t all seem too happy right now if I read that correctly. Am I wrong?

farmers on agtalk {esp those from Wisc and Minn} like to bitch about most everything. So similar to America at large, some do not have the guts to tackle the problem so the problem grows  and grows and grows. Yes the solution involves some pain. I think we can handle it.
