I know lots of people in business. I went to school with lots of people in business. Do you know 99% percent of these people cant explain what a Futures contract is,let alone trade one? these are people who went to Wharton School of Business.
So do you really think that I make color charts with arrows because I dont understand the markets?
Do you really think that I post my color charts on a trading forum because I dont understand markets?
I could care a less about other people's systems, what and where they put stops and profit targets.
Its a very rare place that someone would post charts but I would be more that happy to not waste my time and share any knowledge.
So what is it going to be? A dead forum or a trading forum?
Mike the Plumber, please continue to post as yours are a significant contribution! But honest debate and discussion are also important to a quality forum. Many of my posts get questioned with some even criticized heavily but still mainly with civility. As long as there’s civility (no name calling or insults/talking down/harsh tone), I don’t mind these posts at all as they make for excellent and honestly more interesting threads. Hopefully you can handle these challenges like I do. If anything it can make your assumed already high quality system even that much better.
Not much trading around here as far as I have seen.
Thanks, Mike!
Do you want this to be an honest discussion about trading, using sound proven principles that includes 2 people interacting?
Or do you want this to be Mike the greatest trader's stage to display trades/posts that involve no engagement, other than just wait to find out how much money Mike made?
I traded for a living for 25 years, Mike and turned 2K into 600k trading weather and studying all aspects of trading, especially sound money management principles and being disciplined, sticking to the trading system and not just gambling.
Whether you believe that or not is irrelevant but what is relevant is why you refuse to engage in any conversation that asks you some VERY BASIC questions, that as a professional trader for over 2 decades I know are completely lacking in your posts and responses.
Mike I really do like you and sorry for having to hold you accountable.
I love it when you post trades, even the ones that you have been posting with unanswered questions.
I use them for others to learn from. If you want to take the approach of no accountability and no questions allowed to any of your trading strategies of trades and no answers...........that's on you.
I will then answer the questions myself and explain the things you refuse to comment on.
You are extremely welcome here under all circumstances, including these and as I mentioned, I really do like you alot but this is a trading DISCUSSION board.
BTW, I do like some of the systems that you've shared with us in the past. I could see them making money.
However, when you violate your own systems rules, you should be able to explain why at that time and not ignore the questions, then tell us the next day or later that you did something else and made money.
If you can't.........that's cool, Mike.
I'll step in and explain for you.

The first chart I posted was the five minute chart after the first hour range. The chart broke out to the down side. When I looked at the chart during lunch,it appeared to find support at 5160. So I asked the question,is the bottom in todays session at 5160? I forgot to put the question mark in since I'm postion on an iphone in the front seat of a plumbing van. As I stated beforeI use a trading bot,it took me into the trade when the RSI rose through 50.
Over twenty years I have posted that I take a long or short position depending if the RSI is above or below 50.
My think or swim is set up to take me in as such. So at noon time,it appeared to be putting in a bottom. The chart danced around 5160,so I set my bot to a condition buy, when the market hits 5160 and the RSI is above 50,
"Go Long" well it did and I made $1000.00 dollars. No at anytime did I suggest to go long at lunch time.
I forgot the question mark on the chart. it should have stated "IS THE BOTTOM IN AT 5160?"

Hey Mike,
This is wonderful response and I accept it with thanks even though you missed several points.
This is what I hope that you will do in the future, instead of so many missing gaps or violations of your own system that don't make any sense with no explanations from you.
