As I have always stated,I live in a unique part of the world! A nice, clean suburb of Phila, twenty miles one way and I'm in the ghetto war zone of west philly, twenty miles the other way in the 17th century of Amish land.

Over the years, here are the presidents and pope I saw live:

Gerald Ford at Valley Forge park

Richard Nixon in Berwyn,Pa., several times

Ronald Regan at Great Valley Corporate Center

Obama at Paoli train station

Hilary Clinton at West Chester Univ

Donald Trump rally ,Manhiem,pa

Pope John Paul II

Richard Nixon

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Nixon

Televised presidential debates made their debut as a political medium during the campaign. In the first of four such debates, Nixon appeared pale, with a five o'clock shadow, in contrast to the photogenic Kennedy.[112] Nixon's performance in the debate was perceived to be mediocre in the visual medium of television, though many people listening on the radio thought Nixon had won.[116] Nixon narrowly lost the election, with Kennedy winning the popular vote by only 112,827 votes (0.2 percent).[112]

There were charges of voter fraud in Texas and Illinois, both states won by Kennedy. Nixon refused to consider contesting the election, feeling a lengthy controversy would diminish the United States in the eyes of the world and that the uncertainty would hurt U.S. interests.[117] At the end of his term of office as vice president in January 1961, Nixon and his family returned to California, where he practiced law and wrote a bestselling book, Six Crises, which included coverage of the Hiss case, Eisenhower's heart attack, and the Fund Crisis, which had been resolved by the Checkers speech.[112][118]

30 years ago, Ronald Reagan called suburban Philadelphia ‘Silicon Valley of the East

Some things never change, especially when it comes to economic development.

More than 30 years ago, in May 1985, then-President Ronald Reagan, early in his second term, visited the Great Valley Corporate Center, a suburban business park that Reagan would call “the workplace of the future.” (He may have been using Great Valley’s own branding — a banner that boasted the same name hung across one of the buildings that day.) The localscheered.

Hey MTP,

Wow, that’s an amazing list! I don’t think too many people can match that. For example, I saw just two:

-Jimmy Carter in GA in 1978

-Bill Clinton (Pres-elect) in SC in Dec of 1992

Also, I didn’t realize Hillary was a President! <G> So, she must have actually won in 2016? That means Donald Trump is in only his 1st term now and really can run again in 2028! I wonder if that’s the reason Trump and his supporters have been teasing us about 2028. Hmmmm.

<G> Just a little silliness on a Sunday morning
