Thanks, commodityman!
I don't know what I would do without you!
Actually, I do know. Without you, I would be completely blocked from going back to just view (or use) information from several threads here. Usually long political ones with strong, unpopular views with only the moderator being blocked.
I don't have an explanation. 4 different speculative theories but no solid evidence to support any of them.

An unprecedented crisis is unfolding in Gaza, where a punishing siege and decimated health system have fueled a humanitarian catastrophe.
https://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/latest/our-response-israel-gaza-war
Twenty-one months of war have destroyed thousands of lives in Gaza, leaving much of the Strip in ruins and humanitarian needs more dire than ever.
Since the start of the war in October 2023, more than 57,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, more than 137,000 wounded, and thousands are estimated to be buried under the wreckage. Over 1.9 million people—90 percent of the entire population—have been forcibly displaced, often many times. Water and food are still severely limited, essential supplies like fuel and electricity are scant, and as the threat of disease and hunger continues, lifesaving health care remains inaccessible.
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) teams are witnessing firsthand how this war has turned Gaza's chronic humanitarian crisis into a catastrophe.
MSF response in Gaza
1,004,974 outpatient consultations
267,981 emergency cases
63,764 people treated for diarrhea
23,013 surgical interventions
46,637 inpatients admitted
13,226 deliveries
58,883 prenatal consultations
55,859 individual mental health consultations

Trump wants us to believe that his bombing of Iran caused peace and that he deserves the Nobel Peace for bombing a country, unprovoked, against international law, in the middle of peace talks with that country because another country told him to.
The psychopathic leader of the country that ordered him to do it, came to the United States and nominated him for the Nobel Peace prize.
However, what REALLY happened is that Israel was running out of weapons/ammo, especially those needed for it's Iron Dome because the US couldn't make them as fast as Israel was using them(Gaza and the West Bank also require replenishing their ammo).
With the US military-industrial complex producing on overdrive to stock up the weapons Israel needs, they will resume the bombing of Iran and make up some excuse to justify it and pretend that it's Iran's fault and not because they have the weapons restocked to resume the attacks.

Iran’s Fattah-1 hypersonic missile has struck Tel Aviv, exposing the limits of Israel’s billion-dollar defences. With Arrow interceptors running low and the cost of survival soaring, the Middle East faces a new era of warfare. How long can Israel hold out as Iran’s missile arsenal grows ever deadlier? The countdown to a decisive moment has begun.
+++++++++++++++
We found out how long Israel could hold out, when a cease fire was called so that Israel could stock up with weapons again.
Now we wait for them to stock up and start bombing Iran again!!!
https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/iran-update-july-17-2025
A US media outlet reported on July 17 that US strikes in Iran on June 21 caused significant damage to only one of the three Iranian nuclear facilities that the United States struck.[1] CTP-ISW has previously assessed that the strikes caused significant damage to all three facilities and will likely set back Iran's nuclear program.[2] US airstrikes targeted the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant, Natanz Enrichment Complex, and Esfahan Nuclear Technology Center (ENTC).[3] NBC News reported on July 17 that the US strikes set back uranium enrichment at Fordow by up to two years but stated that "nuclear enrichment [at Natanz and the ENTC] could resume in the next several months," citing former and current US officials familiar with a recent US damage assessment.[4] A US weapons expert stated on July 17 that Iran does not conduct uranium enrichment at the ENTC.
+++++++++++++
The excuse to resume bombing in Iran is tricky. The claim will likely be to destroy the rest of Iran's nuclear facilities and nuclear program, which will contradict Trump's insistence that all of it was obliterated.
However, psychopath Netanyahu has been decimating 2 million and shrinking innocent people in Gaza (mostly children and women) for 654 days and absurdly calling it " Israel defending itself" so they don't really care about what makes sense or not.
It's really hard for me to imagine that Israel is done bombing Iran with his Muslim hating pal in the White House providing so much support/assistance.
Netanyahu is in a battle to survive his past political corruption and the one thing that Jews in his country support him the most about is the bombing in Iran.
According to the poll of over 700 Hebrew and Arabic speakers conducted on Sunday-Tuesday, 70 percent of Israelis support the ongoing strikes, 10% say they support them but the timing is wrong, and 13.5% are opposed.
Among Jews, 82% support the strikes, including a majority across political camps, and two-thirds of Jewish respondents also support the timing of the operation.
++++++++++++++++++
This stone cold fact almost assures us that Netanyahu WILL resume the bombing, once the US Military-Industrial-Political complex restocks Israel's weapons!!!
This entire story is as silly as silly has ever been. So a foreign country attacks our service men, threatens and attacks its neighbors, states it will end western civilization and America along with it, then lies and cheat for decades on nukes. Then after its nukes may have been harmed or destroyed this evil threat come out and admits it will soon be enriching soon and to a larger degree than ever....which they claimed they were never doing in the first place. Seems this country{Iran} would fit under Obama's kind of place.
Thanks very much, mcfarm for giving us the view that supports the bombing and justifies the genocide in Gaza.
That view from Israel and the United States is imposed with impunity because Netanyahu and Trump are Muslim hating authoritarian leaders from powerful countries that can't be stopped and can't be held accountable to following basic humanitarian standards.
Netanyahu, actually is even worse than Putin. At least Putin doesn't intentionally target the majority of his victims being children and women and has been fighting a real army.
Netanyahu and his IDF are the world's biggest cowards. Slaughtering tens of thousands of unarmed, defenseless people, the majority being children and women. Starving them to death Depriving them of water and medical supplies. Destroying their schools, hospitals and residential neighborhoods INTENTIONALLY. Intentionally decimating 2 million people that are unarmed and innocent because that's what his objective really is.
Amazing that there is actually somebody on the planet that is even more diabolical than Putin.........
And he comes to the United States asking for more weapons, bombs and support for what he's doing in Gaza and how does Congress respond?
In a quintessential example of why our politicians are morally bankrupt, they gave him many dozens of standing ovations!
The most diabolical leader on the planet and this is the reception our politicians treat him to.
Their master is the Military-Industrial complex.

Really think it was Obama who was dropping crates and crates of our hard earned tax dollars to the terrorist in Iran and their surrogates through out the ME. So if you want to blame anyone anywhere at anytime you can lay a metric shit ton right in Obama's lap. I had no say so because at that time he was running what has been found to be an actual autocracy unlike the fakes charges that are thrown around today.
Thanks, mcfarm.
I got that. Obama who hasn't been president for 9 years is the reason for havoc in the Middle East right now, not Netanyahu.
So if Obama had never been president, there would be peace across the Middle East?
But if Netanyanu had never taken over, things would be the same?
Actually, I know exactly where you are getting this crazy stuff from(I go there too and listen to try to understand the religion).
I don't stand a chance against religious type faith in things that are based on political spinning but you are always encouraged to express it here.
People already know my views so its good to hear opposing views. They can compare and believe what they want.
last update I read Obama killed more humans with drones than any human whoever lived. Not to mention the 20,000 bombs he dropped or the elections both here and abroad he tried to over turn. So yes very easy to factually state the world would be a much more peaceful and lawful place without Obama. Now add to that he and Michelle's racial divisions they have stirred and wow it gets real easy to wish the cabal that created that fake would of never picked him. And for the topping just add that climate change, green energy, solar farm billion upon billion of wasteful spending and his picture grows darker by the day of what he created in the world.
With regards to Obama. I may disagree with much of that, however there is actually a great point in there that relates to the fake climate crisis.
1. Obama was awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. The world was like.........WTF, he just got elected and didn't do anything yet. It was meant as a bribe by the very political members of the committee to influence Obama towards global socialism agenda, including the FAKE climate crisis scheme to spread the wealth from rich to poor countries.

2. The EPA, under Obama ruled that CO2 is a pollutant so that they could regulate it to save the planet. CO2 is a beneficial gas and at 430 parts per million, is less than half the optimal level for life. The planet was having an extremely low, CO2 drought over 100 years ago with levels below 300 ppm. Plants were shutting down. We rescued the planet from a near crisis low level of beneficial CO2. That's why the planet has GREENED UP by 30% in the last CENTURY. How are we killing the planet from "carbon" pollution that is massively greening it up??? We aren't because this is a climate optimum.
3. This side, constantly referring to CO2 as "carbon pollution" is using retarded, junk science. CO2 is a beneficial gas and the building block of life. Like hundreds of other MOLECULES/ things, it just happens to have an atom of C in it. This would be exactly like calling H2O, Hydrogen pollution because there is an atom of hydrogen in that MOLECULE.

CO2 IS in fact a greenhouse gas that has warmed the planet beneficially by almost 2 deg. F, mostly the coldest places of the higher latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere. It's also increased rains by 7% because the warmer air can hold more moisture. Also increases the intensity of some hurricanes from rapid intensification over water that is 1 Deg C warmer. Also, increases the intensity of heat waves slightly over deserts and some drier continental areas. In humid areas, the radiation absorption bands are already saturated from H2O and there is less increase in heat waves.
However, the benefits outweigh the negatives to THE PLANET by over 10 times. Our REAL pollution and unsustainable OVER consumption of natural resources IS hurting the planet badly.
However, our releasing CO2 from burning fossil fuels back into the atmosphere where it was originally before getting sequestered via photosynthesis, then mass decay well below the surface as fossils is treating the planet to the best thing that humans have ever done for the planet..........increase beneficial CO2, the building block of life.
That's why we are living in an authentic, scientific climate OPTIMUM not a CRISIS for life.
Humans on the other hand, especially those that live along coasts or in certain areas have more detrimental impacts but even there, the benefits are at least as great as the negatives.

Killing people with bombs is actually more humane that killing them from starvation.
Netanyahu has the mindset of Adolf Hitler and his hatred of Jews.
This diabolical psychopath is being assisted by the United States politicians with his horrific genocide. The industry driving it and making it possible is the Military Industrial-Political complex, along with morally bankrupt leaders and politicians that put profits, political agenda and racism way ahead of human beings.
His partner in crime is President Donald Trump. The absurdity of Netanyahu's nominating Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for assisting him with his Middle East war crimes is an order of magnitude more insane than President Obama getting the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009.
While the doctors without borders, are giving up their lives to help the victims of Netanyahu and US politicians/Trump (that are decimating a population of 2 million people, mostly children and women because they are despicable, self serving human beings.

We've all read about the many horrific, large scale crimes in history perpetrated by evil people and their followers and allowed to happen because people that know better don't speak out strongly enough.
This isn't history, it's a current event and those people committing the large scale crime IS US!
So what happens in this country when people actually do speak out?
Go to protests that are trying to stop our supporting this genocide?
They are accused of being anti Semitic by Fox News, Donald Trump many of our R politicians, the Jewish coalition and even the devil from Israel who is adored by our morally bankrupt politicians.
The ones speaking out to stop the genocide, insanely are being portrayed as being anti Jewish perpetrators to silence them.
I'm against ALL hatred, regardless of the group being targeted. In this case, the solution is no brainer.
Stop the genocide in Gaza and you save lives of Muslims living there and at the same time, you stop almost the entire world from being outraged at Israel, WHICH IS JUSTIFIABLE.
If anything, we should have MORE protesting against this in the United States because WE ARE THE ONES ENABLING AND SUPPORTING THE GENOCIDE.
Fox news anchors will rot in hell (if there is one) for being Netanyahu's cheerleader and pushing this genocide as justifiable. It's one thing to have an anti humanity personal position but to push it on millions of people is stealing their moral intelligence and integrity.
The images at this link only represent the tiniest fraction of what is happening to the 2 million innocent people living in Gaza.

Mike said:
“Humans on the other hand, especially those that live along coasts or in certain areas have more detrimental impacts but even there, the benefits are at least as great as the negatives.”
—————-
Hey Mike,
That’s highly debatable. How do the benefits of GW outweigh areas along and near the coasts and certain other areas being submerged as the sea level encroaches on them?
Also, I posted this at a wx bb today:
“I don’t think it’s accurate to say there’s no climate crisis from GW. The combo of the melting of land based ice flowing into the oceans as well as expansion of ocean water has been causing an accelerating rise of sea level. Also, higher dewpoint air being able to hold more moisture as well as a slight reduction of avg steering flow due to a reduced temp. contrast between the rapidly warming Arctic and the significantly slower warming of the tropics have combined to cause a notable increase in flooding rainfall events.
That being said, not everything about GW has been bad. One great thing is that global food supply has increased markedly due to larger crops. This is due to longer growing seasons (longer period between freezes) accompanied by increased moisture and the ability to grow crops further north. In addition, plants have more CO2 to take in for photosynthesis. I’ll reiterate that had we instead of GW had the same amount of cooling, global food supply would be much, much smaller thus likely leading to starvation of at least hundreds of millions. Another mini-ice age would have been terrible.”
Thanks Larry,
I disagree with part of that.
The oceans are rising at just over an inch/decade. Just over a foot/century. Though that rate is accelerating a bit the increase will likely be less than 2 feet the next century. NOT the 10 feet that some people claim.
And much of this is a continuation of the NATURAL sea level increase since the last Ice Age ended.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Past_sea_level
Many higher latitudes are actually seeing glacier rebound, so the land is rising faster than the oceans.
With regards to hurricanes.
Last time I checked, people along the coasts eat food too. 30% more food and cheaper food. You mentioned this already.
Going back to the "old" climate of the 1800s and the lower CO2 levels below 300 ppm would reduce food production by at least 30% and cause food prices to triple.........for people along the coasts too.
Cutting food production by 30% to world of 8 billion people? I think more than 1 billion people would die, maybe even 2 billion which is 25% of the population. Poor people wouldn't be able to afford food.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Death by GREENING!
Larry,
I would agree with you if you narrowed your statement down to Americans that live near the coasts in hurricane alley (GOM or Southeast), which is a minority in the US and an even smaller minority in the world.
They have a slightly higher risk of receiving more damage from a hurricane and more flooding because of 7% more moisture in the air.
Not so along the West Coast. Not so in most of the world along the coasts.
Mainly in the subtropics of the Northern Hemisphere and a narrow strip of the subtropics in the Southern Hemisphere.
Mainly with regards to property damage in those areas that might see a slightly stronger/wetter hurricane every 10 years or so.
So ~80% of the worlds coasts are NOT being impacted except for extremely rare events and the slight acceleration of the sea level increase above the natural increase the past ~20,000 years.
https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/climo/
NOT because the hurricanes are taking more lives. The complete opposite has been happening.
MM..."nothing to do with Obama"....are you serious. So you are saying not one penny of that billions that Obama sent Iran......{the worlds largest sponsor of terror"" ever made it to the hands of the terrorist that attack Israel by the day....not one penny. I think you need to rethink that statement and correct it
Thanks, mcfarm!
The question was about Gaza!
Related to Iran, who was it that withdrew from the nuclear inspections deal in 2018?
We should note that the entire justification of this war and the US bombing of Iran's nuclear facilities was supposedly based on progress of Iran's nuclear program to the point that they were on the verge of having a nuclear weapon.
If there's anybody responsible for that situation, it would be the person that canceled the nuclear deal.
After Trump withdrew from the nuclear deal in 2018, what positives evolved that we can point to that made it worth Iran developing the nuclear weapon that they claim it resulted in?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_withdrawal_from_the_Joint_Comprehensive_Plan_of_Action
The United States announced its withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the "Iran nuclear deal" or the "Iran deal", on May 8, 2018.[1][2][3][4] The JCPOA is an agreement on Iran's nuclear program reached in July 2015 by Iran and the P5+1 (the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council—China, France, Russia, United Kingdom, United States—plus Germany)[5][6] also called E3/EU+3.
In a joint statement responding to the U.S. withdrawal, the leaders of France, Germany and the United Kingdom stated that the United Nations Security Council resolution endorsing the nuclear deal remained the "binding international legal framework for the resolution of the dispute".[7]
Various countries, international organizations, and U.S. scholars have expressed regret or criticized the withdrawal, while U.S. conservatives,[8][9] Israel, Saudi Arabia and allies have supported it.
++++++++++++++++++
Iran had less money to support terrorism???
That could be true but they also had more incentive to support terrorism and develop nuclear weapons because of the sanctions placed on them to punish them. The situation that led to this bombing is evidence that Trumps withdrawal from the nuclear deal BACKFIRED big time.
Nobody can say that their so called peace programs were/are working in the Middle East in 2025. Not when you have unprovoked bombings of 1 country, Iran against international law in the middle of so called peace talks, a long lived unjustified genocide in another country, Gaza. Continued unjustified killing and persecution in the West Bank. An on and off war with Lebanon/Hezbollah.
The so called "bad guys" are greatly motivated/inspired right now by the genocide of innocent human beings/Muslims (mostly children and women) in Gaza. The reality is that, right now the so called "bad guys" have the moral high ground and are fighting for the just cause.
The reality is that we are NOT the good guys. Israel and the United States can't possibly be the good guys based on what they are doing in Gaza. Not by any stretch of the authentic facts. Manufactured realities and blatant lies by Fox News, our politicians and Netanyahu/Israel don't change the genocide to something different from a crystal clear genocide. The rest of the world has been calling this out but our morally bankrupt, all powerful military-industrial-political complex is driven by self enrichment, political agenda and hatred/racism(Islamophobia) NOT humanity.
I watched Mark Levin on Fox over the weekend. This guy is the high priest of hatred for people that are different than us, specifically all Muslims. He constantly denounces Islam as a fake religion, everybody that practices it as evil and that they all hate us and are all trying to destroy us, including the ones that live in Dearborn MI of our country.
How ironic. He's the one that has the hate and is TEACHING HATE to millions of viewers that come there because they want to believe him. How sad for viewers having their intelligence, moral integrity and principles that our country stands on(like freedom to practice religion) stolen from our brains.
How ironic that Levin pretends to base all his speeches on the US Constitution, when he is one of the most ANTI Constitution people on television.
MAGA people sincerely embrace his toxic rhetoric as enlightened messaging that defines their belief system which is more like a religion because its defined by an unshakeable faith in tenets that guys like Levin profess.
At least TRUE religions have MANY positives. This particular Muslim hating religion is having nothing but bad impacts, especially the ones with the hate in their hearts.

Hey Mike,
From you and some others’ (like the person I was responding to at that wx bb) perspective, there is no climate crisis. For others, there is. There’s no one answer as it is also a matter of perspective and also degree. It’s not black and white. For me, it is a crisis for the reasons I gave (mainly due to rising sea level as well ans increased frequency of inland flooding rain events). I’ve felt that way for years. However, I also see the great side of GW, larger crop sizes. That’s something most believing it is a crisis would never admit.
Thanks, Larry!
This is what I call an indisputable climate crisis, caused by the exact opposite conditions that we have now.
In the 1800's, before the Industrial Revolution enriched the planet with beneficial CO2 and when global temperatures were 2 degrees cooler than now from the green house gas warming this is what our world was like:
https://www.marketforum.com/forum/topic/69258/#109795
Global cooling and LOW CO2 levels are what cause widespread, extremely long lasting droughts with catastrophic global and huge regional famines!
Here in 2025, we are living in a climate optimum with absolute, scientific certainty!!
Causes and consequences of nineteenth century droughts in North America
https://ocp.ldeo.columbia.edu/res/div/ocp/drought/nineteenth.shtml
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You want a REAL climate CRISIS?
This is what it looks like:
Can you imagine if this below happened today? It's less likely because climate change and the current climate OPTIMUM is helping to PROTECT US!
The planet had a REAL climate crisis between 1876 and 1878.
50 million people died. 3% of the global population died from that real climate crisis!
https://news.climate.columbia.edu/2017/12/15/causes-great-famine-drought/
https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2017AGUFMGC51F..04S/abstract
The 1876-1878 Great Famine impacted multiple regions across the globe including parts of Asia, Nordeste Brazil, and northern and southern Africa, with total human fatalities exceeding 50 million people, arguably the worst environmental disaster to befall humanity.

Summer Climate Change in the Midwest and Great Plains due to Agricultural Development during the Twentieth Century
https://journals.ametsoc.org/view/journals/clim/32/17/jcli-d-19-0096.1.xml
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
We are indisputably living in a climate optimum for most life on this planet(that would still prefer a bit more warmth and a lot more CO2) and for growing crops in the United States!
++++++++++++++++++++
50 million people globally died from the Great GLOBAL Famine. from 1876-1878 FROM THE CLIMATE!
Compare that to what THIS CURRENT CLIMATE OPTIMUM (with technology) is doing:
Its not ALL technology. If we had the same climate of 1876-78 or any of the other 3 Dust Bowls in the 1800s, technology could not save us from millions of people starving because of the lack of food.
So how many people die each year in hurricanes?
It's not like we didn't have major hurricanes before the oceans warmed up 1 deg C over the last century.
This only goes out to 2008 but I'm short on time.
https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/outreach/history/
++++++++++++++++
So anybody can call anything a climate crisis if they want to move the goal posts to frame it to be a crisis locally or regionally.
However, a climate crisis is generally accepted to mean a GLOBAL condition.
++++++++++++++++++
It's indisputable that this current climate (optimum) is PROTECTING US from these widespread, long lasting droughts. You agree that there is 7% MORE water vapor in the air, correct?
That there is much more transpiration from plants across the planet because it’s massively greening up from the increase in CO2..........which also make plants more water efficient/drought tolerant and heat tolerant.
++++++
Now if we went from no hurricanes to these currents hurricanes it would be a crisis. Instead its some hurricanes slightly stronger and wetter in the places that have hurricanes.
The benefits are across the entire planet and a 30% greening and increase in food production for, not just humans but most of the creatures on this planet that eat plants or something that ate plants.
