Kirk, the president said, has become “a martyr for truth and freedom,” going on to express his prayers for the Kirk family.
The president connected Kirk’s death to his own shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania, and other high-profile instances of violence, including the shooting of a UnitedHealthcare executive in New York in December and the 2017 shooting of House Majority Leader Steve Scalise as he railed against “radical and political violence.”
He suggested that Americans and the media need to “confront the fact that violence and murder are the tragic consequence of demonizing those with whom you disagree.”
Trump vowed further action, previewing a broader plan to crack down on political violence.

There are 2 sides to this and it's been getting worse and worse each year for a very long time. MSNBC fired an anchor for their inflammatory interpretation, which is a recognition of this and an attempt to reduce their contribution. MSNBC has been a huge source, producing inflammatory, "radical left" rhetoric for a long time.
However, my comments above about what was coming out of Fox news was even worse inflammatory rhetoric. Jesse Watters and Mark Levin calling for vengeance, done with listening to the left, there is a price for the left to pay and that people on the far left should be dead not Charlie Kirk.
In my opinion, those 2 guys should be fired. They were clearly, using this horrific assassination to fire up and enrage their viewers with extremely inflammatory and DANGEROUS rhetoric.
Just because it was a person on "their side" that was killed does not entitle them to a different set of rules or justify their use of extremely counterproductive verbiage.

I agree with Christopher Cook. As bad from my perspective as I thought was the case regarding many things Charlie Kirk said, I don’t at all agree with political violence, especially murder. So, I hope he rests in peace. Besides him, there’s also his wife and two very young children. And besides it being wrong, it makes him a martyr to many. Also, it invites hateful rhetoric toward the other side just like the always highly divisive Trump (why I never supported him and never will) has already spewed. On the other hand, the reason I think that is EXTREMELY UNLIKELY is because he glorifies and elevates those that support him. He pardoned people that committed serious crimes on January 6, 2021 for him. He hired friends and backers to fill most of the key positions.

Related to this, I was posting on my wife's new business here 3+ years ago and that exact thing happened to her. I was actually complimenting her, the business and an investor. Incredibly, the investing entity is one of the most rich and powerful companies in the world. I won't mention them. They contacted her company and tried to get her fired and at the same time, somebody hacked MarketForum and deleted a thread that I had which exposed carbon sequestration as a huge scam.
When they brought it up to her, the response that she repeated from them about me that I thought was funny was: "Who the hell is this Mike Maguire!!!" Their company has people that they pay to do nothing but scroll the internet to find information about people and things that might impact their businesses. I looked THEM up later and confirmed that they have 100s of billions of investment money in the carbon sequestration scam. Companies like that will go to extremes to protect that investment.
