I get that there are numerous issues with the current system. Instead of working to fix those, Trump is eliminating this department and replacing it with........nothing.
It's always admirable to replace something bad with something goodr. Or even something bad with something less bad or something good with something even better.
In this case, Trump is abusing his power to demolish something with problems an essential something with.............NOTHING.
Just get rid of it and dump it on the states and call it giving parents better choices..........when those sources don't have anything in place to take this on right now.
Millions of students will suffer, especially in low income communities that don't have the funding to afford what the Federal Government now funds. This is consistent with Trumps agenda to punish the poor people that he hates so much. In this case, children.

MM, why the heck are you so defensive because I made a factual statement about just what was going on at U of M during Watergate. Protests, fires, walkouts, all during Watergate days. Now think of today and the weaponization and near coup by the libs in DC and the media. And the absolute zero attention this is getting st the U of M nowadays. If you do not see the hypocrisy you are blind. And do not tell it was raining and you were not peeing down my neck. I watched the mess at Michigan and other universitys. Many many experts judge what happened under obama and biden that had its birth with Hillary, to be much worse than watergate

When I watch this, the thing that stands out the most to me is Trumps rapidly advancing dementia compared to how he communicated earlier in this life. It's crystal clear!
He repeats the same things, the same phrases and the same words in the same conversation over and over because his severe cognitive losses disable him from elaborating eloquently like he did in his younger years.

Biden is suffering organic changes from age related anatomical deterioration in his frontal lobe. He has all the physical symptoms of a biologically deteriorating frontal lobe. His doctors are blatantly lying when they say he is still sharp and its arthritis of his spine causing him to walk that way.

November 19, 2025: In looking back at this assessment 2.5 years ago, I missed the early stages of Trump's dementia because it was mild at the time compared to Bidens. NOT ANYMORE!!

This was Trump, as a D back when he was a gifted at articulating and communicating. Skills that his advancing dementia have stolen from him. Dementia only gets worse!
With Biden, his cognitive losses mainly impacted his ability to communicate and walk(taking little baby steps with his Alzheimer walk). His brain was much less impacted in areas of judgment and what he would say. He might be confused and struggle to communicate his ideas but the same ideas were there.
With Trump, it's quite different. The part of his brain impacting judgment is experiencing the most organic, irreversible damage. With the Ukraine war, for instance he goes back and forth from 1 extreme to the other. He says thousands of completely loony, impulsive things that are not even close to the truth. He completely loses it and posts unhinged rants that make no sense, attacking his enemies on Truth Social.
That's in addition to his deteriorating ability to consistently communicate verbally.
Just yesterday, he went on a lunatic rant, venting against a reporter for asking him a question that he didn't like. Then he called another, chubby female reporter "piggy" to insult her which is extremely childish and mean. ........something that a mean president that has lost their impulse control and is suffering from dementia would do .
I could actually provide many hundreds of recent examples, those are just 2 of many this week.
I supported and defended Trump for years. Even voted for him last November.
This is the stone cold, objective reality based on the authentic truths UNRELATED to a political affiliation.
Donald Trump MUST be removed from office ASAP because he is extremely unqualified and dangerous. This was not my position at all during his first term, where I defended him against the criminal Russian Hoax/Witch hunt. Things are so much different now.

Trump decisions are getting to be pretty insane!
Ruinous, illegal tariffs. Bombing boats where very few drugs in the US are coming from. $2,000 tariff rebate checks and paying down the debt with money that is not great enough to do that (why not just lift the tariff tax and allow us to pay less money when we buy stuff instead of stealing that money from us with tariffs that are paid by Americans??
The list is long and its bad and his justifications are completely manufactured/lies.
His 90 deals in 90 days turned out to be almost no good deals and the rest VERY BAD DEALS for both sides that are costing Americans in several ways(trading partners are replacing us with deals between themselves and isolating the United States). Manufacturers and new business will AVOID the United States because of Trump's, lack of credibility and lack of being trustworthy and loss of having the ability to make smart decisions.
In the past, he still had some of those abilities. Dementia has stolen that away and replaced it with chaotic, impulsive moves that feed the pathologically thinking part of his mind that wants to be ruler of the world.
This is not trivial stuff. It major and its defining.
Donald Trump MUST be removed from office!
The Rs can do it now to lessen the damage or they can wait until after the 2026 elections and let the Ds do it!

One reason to predict Trumps current dementia is likely to continue its rapid progression is the fact that he clearly is severely sleep deprived. Our brains need sleep to rest and recovered and to stay healthy.
The life of a president already features traveling around the world and severe loss of sleep but Trump, even when at home will be up at all hours tweeting his unhinged messages and his raging screeds in the middle of the night.
Not only does this show that he's not sleeping when he should be, it shows his frame of mind is exactly the kind that would be counterproductive for sleep with anyone.
If this was somebody like Bernie Sanders, who is still sharper than me on the sharpest day of my life than its no concern. However, Trump ALREADY HAS DEMENTIA! He already has the condition!
When your body/brain already has a progressive disease that NEVER gets better. NEVER! You had better pamper your body/brain to keep it from progressing even faster. No doubt that his doctors are giving him the best meds, but they don't have a pill to replace sleep for resting your brain.
He is wearing out his brain from lack of sleep and it WILL lead to a faster progression of his dementia.
At least Biden was respectful of this and tried to maintain a schedule that reduced his loss of sleep so that he could rest his brain more. No doubt this resulted in Biden not working as much or long hours that a younger and NOT in cognitive decline president could have managed without the adversity to their brains.
Trump is the Energizer Bunny that has never needed much sleep for most of his life, especially because of his active brain. But he's almost 80 and crystal clearly has dementia.
Abusing his once gifted brain like it's still healthy and 50 when its 80 and suffering a progressive disease will cause the disease to advance much faster. Not maybe. That's what happens when you ALREADY HAVE a progressive disease and do exactly the wrong things to treat it. It's an authentic, indisputable principle in biology and neuroscience.
The principles of neuroscience and their impact on the brain, especially a diseased brain with a progressive disease are independent of one's political party. You can pretend its not so or wish its not so (like the Ds did with Biden) but the physical laws of biology and neuroscience can't be twisted to obey a political party, without violating the authentic truth!
