Any thoughts/opinions?
This is one that I will remember forever:
President Donald Trump delivered a national address in which he argued that his economic policies are delivering for Americans.
My comments on this ended up gravitating to the thread here where a poster wanted to have the conversation at, which is an objective here when it emerges.

I understand completely, Larry.
I have plenty to say when I get the chance. Been busy most of the day but I wanted to encourage others to comment first and after I comment, would still appreciate other opinions.
Trump definitely took too high of a dose of dementia stimulants last night.
1. He was talking at an excessively fast speed.
2. He slurred and mispronounced numerous words.
3. It brought out a very ANGRY Donald Trump
Typical blatant lies from the Twilight Zone and completely delusional interpretations. That wasn't new. However, his method to deliver the delusional lies was the most offensive Donald Trump and offensive presidential speech in history.
You don't convince people to believe you or like you by yelling angrily at them. Even if you are telling them the truth.
When you lie blatantly and deliver the messages with anger, yelling and talking a mile a minute its the recipe for turning them off.
Every Democrat watching his speech was celebrating with glee.
The Rs in Congress know even more now, that if they don't do something about Trump, the writing will be on the wall in November 2026.
And the fact that he insisted that all the major networks give him this time, cutting into their regular programs and money raising advertisements because of an imagined crisis that required the president of the United States to deliver this important message to Americans..............and then he does this, is incredibly profound evidence that he's lost his ability to use good judgment and his brain is driven by self serving interests with no ability to think clearly or rationally. This was extremely desperate and completely counter productive.
With his progressive dementia, I don't see how he will survive another 3 years in office.

Hey Mike,
I don’t disagree with anything you said about his awful speech. But as bad as it was, I’m still much more upset about the plaques with insults like Crooked and Sleepy Joe as well as saying Obama was the most divisive ever. Am I just dreaming??
I mean that is just about the most Twilight Zone thing he’s done yet and that’s saying a lot!

Larry,
I agree 100% with that assessment and in a very strong way for the following reason.
His speech last night, even being the worst by a president in history was just 1 speech that everybody will forget.
Those plaques were there last night, and tonight and will still be there tomorrow night and a year from tonight and for the next XXXX days and nights until somebody that starts restoring sanity removes them forever.
In our country's long history, that includes a lot of divisive politics and unethical tactics by both sides for hundreds of years there has not been anything close to this despicable. A blatant abuse of presidential power to exploit a political position in the most unethical way imaginable. This is just reason number XX to justify removing Donald Trump from office ASAP.
Actually, what he did was impossible to imagine coming from a president of the United States.
It's worse than just below the dignity of the office of president.
There is a 100% chance that, at the very least, the offensive language will be completely eliminated and replaced with something that represents political sanity after Donald Trump is removed from power (or leaves the office).
100%!

It's bad enough to post toxic information about D's under that plaques but he blatantly lied about his relationship with Ronald Reagan.
If President Trump worked for any company in our country as the number 2 in charge and the company had been around for 250 successful years that featured dozens of leaders that served all sorts of people from both sides and in the year 2025, half of the people WERE STILL BEING served by that company and Trump came out with special plaques, paid for by the stockholders and owners of the company, half of which that he violated, as well as lying about his own relationship and credentials......HE WOULD BE FIRED ON THE SPOT!!!!
Instead, Donald Trump continues to blatantly, offensively and illegally abuse his power as president with impunity because nobody will stop him.
