Since the Rs have control of the White House, Congress, the DOJ and the entire government, who is going to hold them accountable for not releasing all the files?
They went from doing everything possible to block the release of the files for months and months to suddenly voting almost unanimously for releasing them.
How does that happen in a world where political positions NEVER change?

We know that there were many hundreds of girls/vicims in Epstein's under age sex trafficking ring.

They initially followed thru with the plan to almost completely sanitize Trump from the files (especially featuring Clinton images because Dementia Don thought that would take the heat off of him and put in on Bill Clinton).

The DOJ is getting everything authorized by Donald Trump. They are NOT independent. They answer to him. They carry out his plans and adjust their plans when he tells them to.
That's exactly why this has turned into a MEGA fiasco for Donald Trump in 2025. If they had just released the files earlier this year, as promised none of this would be happening. But Donald Trump is not only unqualified to be president of the United States, he can't even think clearly enough to make smart decisions on scandals like this. Today, Attorney General Pamela Bondi, in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), declassified and publicly released files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his sexual exploitation of over 250 underage girls at his homes in New York and Florida, among other locations. The first phase of declassified files largely contains documents that have been previously leaked but never released in a formal capacity by the U.S. Government.
“This Department of Justice is following through on President Trump’s commitment to transparency and lifting the veil on the disgusting actions of Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi. “The first phase of files released today sheds light on Epstein’s extensive network and begins to provide the public with long overdue accountability.”
“The FBI is entering a new era—one that will be defined by integrity, accountability, and the unwavering pursuit of justice,” said FBI Director Kash Patel. “There will be no cover-ups, no missing documents, and no stone left unturned — and anyone from the prior or current Bureau who undermines this will be swiftly pursued. If there are gaps, we will find them. If records have been hidden, we will uncover them. And we will bring everything we find to the DOJ to be fully assessed and transparently disseminated to the American people as it should be. The oath we take is to the Constitution, and under my leadership, that promise will be upheld without compromise.”
Attorney General Bondi requested the full and complete files related to Jeffrey Epstein. In response, the Department received approximately 200 pages of documents, however, the Attorney General was later informed of thousands of pages of documents related to the investigation and indictment of Epstein that were not previously disclosed. The Attorney General has requested the FBI deliver the remaining documents to the Department by 8:00 AM on February 28 and has tasked FBI Director Kash Patel with investigating why the request for all documents was not followed.
The Department remains committed to transparency and intends to release the remaining documents upon review and redaction to protect the identities of Epstein’s victims.

Let's just do some basic math.
2,000,000 total documents divided by 12,285 released so far means there's 163 times more to be reviewed and released.
It took them 365 days to review and release 12,285 document so. At that current rate, it will take 365 days X 163 =59,495 days to complete the process. This is 163 years and the year 2188.
How did the legal entities that were investigating Epstein generate so many documents, when the process of investigating, prosecuting and recording documents would have taken 10+ times longer with many less people than just REVIEWING them?
Just another example of our corrupt DOJ following the orders of the most corrupt and powerful man in United States history to cover up his past.
If there was nothing to cover up, these files would have been released almost a year ago, as promised. Instead, we get nothing but lies and political theater as the R led Congress investigates ONLY Ds, like the Clintons.
In the meantime, besides the DOJ and Congress violating the law, we have dozens of predators in the files, that criminally violated and raped teenagers as part of a decade+ long sex trafficking ring with countless survivors/victims today not just being denied justice but continuing to be disrespected by our morally bankrupt gatekeepers that have placed a much higher value on protecting the rich and powerful predators than the justice they deserve.
The name of the person most responsible for blocking the release of this information is Donald Trump.
There is a near 0% chance that the entire Epstein files, even with redactions will be released in a manner that identifies most of the predators.
The only way that we will get the names is if the victims/survivors provide them but they are petrified because THEY KNOW it will likely end in their deaths before they can testify.
For people that actually believe Jeffrey Epstein actually killed himself, the odds of that, based on the extraordinarily freaky coincidences that all happened at the same times is about the same as flipping a coin and getting heads 10 times in a row.
1. What are the odds that both guards, paid to stay vigilant all night slept thru the incident?
2. What are the odds that the camera on that floor malfunctioned?
3. What are the odds that they would try to replace that with the camera footage from a different floor if there was no cover up?
4. What are the odds that the pathologist performing the autopsy said that it was impossible to break the bones that were broken in his neck from hanging via a bed sheet from the top bunk because there was not enough force.
5. What the odds that they just happened to take away his bunk mate?
6. What are the odds that he was taken off of suicide watch if he was suicidal?
7. What are the odds that ALL THOSE THINGS happened simultaneously to a man that could testify against dozens of the most rich and powerful men, predators that committed felony offenses against under aged women in his under aged sex trafficking ring?
One could make a case for a couple of those freaky things to happen at the same time but all of them together on the same night to a world renowned person that would clearly have incredibly watchful eyes watching him is extraordinarily unlikely.
Instead of believing in the almost impossible, we can use our brains and critical thinking. He was killed to prevent him from testifying. The victims of these same people understand clearly that the same thing could happen to them. Many of them that we don't know about have been paid off.
You might wonder what this has to do with Donald Trump and why he has ordered the DOJ to cover this up?
While Donald Trump never visited Epstein's Island and is not part of the crimes that Epstein committed there and that involve all these other predators, the investigation into Epstein revealed some very inconvenient evidence about Donald Trump during his 15 year best friendship with the world's most notorious pedophile(that he publicly complimented for his taste in young women that he shared)

One has to be completely lacking in critical thinking to assume that when Trump and Epstein were picking up women together for over a decade, that Epstein would have sex with underage women and Trump would pick up their moms.
Girls of the same age hang out together. The most powerful force that resulted in the 15 year friendship between Jeffrey Epstein was their lust for the same type of females. Their mutual mindset that united them as they treated YOUNG females, not as human beings but objects to satisfy their carnal urges and their desire to dominate them.

This is what I've been insisting since the start.
Maxwell is referring to predators getting off scott free from secret agreements with the government, instead of being prosecuted for their crimes. My points below refer to the secret agreements between the predators and the victims/survivors.
And it's far more than just 25 "secret settlements" not that much different than the so called "hush money" that Donald Trump paid to Stormy Daniels, although that agreement was involving activities between Donald Trump and his personal prostitute that were legal but he just didn't want the public to know.
Donald Trump likely has many hundreds of these NDA's(non disclosure agreements) with individuals to keep them quiet. Maybe almost all the rich and powerful predators that savaged the under aged girls in Epstein's under aged sex trafficking ring have the "secret settlements".
Since they involve the commission of a crime, they are not legal but nonetheless, it's extremely likely that most of these women have been paid off and have legit threats on their lives if they break the terms of their "secret settlement".

While the assumption in the United States is that NDA's that cover up crimes, like those committed by Epstein and his predators are not enforceable in court, all NDA's are a 2 way street. Both parties get something and both parties give up something to get that, like most legal contracts.
In this case, the predators demand silence, for which they give up $$$$ or some other lucrative benefit that costs them a price. The victims agree to stay silent, in return they are rewarded with $$$$. If they speak out, their pay day goes away. For these extremely wealthy men, they can afford to pay massive sums to silence victims who could destroy their reputation if they tell the world what happened between them and the rich and powerful person.
In addition, the victims have seen what these rich and powerful men will do if they feel a person is going to speak out.
There's a good chance they would be killed!
That's an incredibly high incentive to keep quiet.
1. Enough money to live comfortably for the rest of their lives
2. The right to live without being assassinated or worrying that you will be assassinated.
Many of them have been working hard to be survivors and overcome the tremendous psychological damage from the past. Trying to manage the stress and trauma from their previous lives. Put it behind them. Move forward. Confronting the individual who raped and abused them, violating their hush money, secret sex agreement would add enormous stress and trauma to their lives, making the recovery process almost impossible.
They would have to constantly revisit that abuse and be even more fearful that the abuser would harm/them again.
That's why its so good for them to come out together as a group that supports each other, insisting the information be released by our government. If they tried to go it alone, accusing their specific abuser it would be them against that rich and powerful person, who has all the power over them. That abuser had 100% of the power when he abused them as under aged girls. What chance would they stand today against those extremely rich and powerful abusers when our own government is covering for the predators?
Yes, they are justifiably petrified. They are logical about self preservation but at the same time, many of them are extremely courageous enough to come forward as a group to speak out as survivors/victims.
They are the ones that we owe the release of the Epstein Files too. They deserve our empathy and relentless support and justice that our government owes to them.
People intentionally blocking the Epstein Files are sabotaging the justice for the victims/survivors and protecting some serious predators of under aged girls. Whether it's for political reasons, or for protecting specific predators or for protecting themselves. There couldn't be a more ethical good vs evil battle.

metmike: The truth is that this DOJ serves Donald Trump, who completely controls their leadership and their agenda. Statements from the DOJ are authorized based on whether they line up with Donald Trump's agenda.
In every way, shape and form this administrations abuse of power, cover ups, censorship's, DISinformation and LACK OF transparency is crystal clear at every turn. Their MO has repeated so many times, that it has become very predictable and easy to recognize.

I stand potentially corrected on the DOJ not releasing anything that makes Donald Trump look bad. We don't know what they decided to NOT release and we do know from the response of the survivors, that the DOJ is still intentionally covering up information to protect predators.
It's incredible how much information was gathered on Jeffrey Epstein and associates and even more appalling that they allowed him to get away with this under age sex trafficking ring for so long. The only way that could happen is if he and the rich and powerful predators were being protected.
