This is a non USCF rated tournament.
Students may be able to get a bye if they're leaving early or leaving for an hour during the tournament and coming back. You must let us know at least 15 minutes BEFORE the pairings for the round that you'll miss.
*We will have a professional photographer, Guisel Johnson from a chess playing family there taking hundreds of pictures and gifting them to our chess community for free again this year.
NONE of these photos will be posted on social media, but will instead be in a private password protected gallery that parents may download after the tournament.
After the tournament, Guisel will give me the password that will ONLY go out to the families/coaches/teachers of students in this tournament.
If any information is not correct below, you can contact me at meteormike@msn.com to have it fixed. Or just hit the "Contact" moderator button at the top of this screen. These are my best guesses on the ending times which depend on how long the longest games of each round go.

Our tournament went as good as it possibly could. 139 students in K-12, from over 3 dozens schools, broken up into 5 divisions battling each other all day in the sport for the brain!!!
We had the best TD doing pairings and results. We had the best 2 at our scoring table. The best floor referee/TD. The best schools, chess coaches and their students. The best families that came out to support their children and our chess program(assisting me running the tournament/concession stand). We had a professional photographer taking hundreds of pictures for free! (see the next page down)
Playing in a competitive chess tournament like this is the equivalent of having around 10 practices at school when it comes to advancing chess playing skills. Lots of fun while learning good sportsmanship, behavior traits and developing numerous cerebral skills.
Here are the results:

Added 48-66 in this division below:

We had a professional photographer, Guisel Johnson taking hundreds of photographs and sharing them for free.
This is the link to her site:
Guisel has created a viewing gallery for us. hundreds of awesome pictures of the kids playing chess and with their trophies.
Chess families, friends, coaches, schools and people interested in seeing how awesome our chess tournament was can view Guisels work(gift to us) at the link below.
