"The House speaker has spent the last two days provoking Trump, questioning his self-confidence, condescendingly confiding that she prays for him and suggesting a "family intervention."

The President's wild, improvised response Thursday suggests that so far, the speaker is winning the hugely consequential clash between Washington's top two political forces."

"Pelosi is operating off a playbook specifically designed for Trump as she hits him where it hurts most, targeting his ego, his courage, his manliness and his sensitivity over his fortune."

metmike: Thank you CNN for being crystal clear about what you and Pelosi are all about as stated previously (divisiveness not harmony)!

Nancy Pelosi: After "Temper Tantrum," I Wish Trump's Family Would Have An "Intervention"

Pelosi: "But I can only think he wasn't up to the task of figuring out the difficult choices of how to cover the cost of the important infrastructure legislation that we had talked about three weeks before."

metmike: Pelosi continues to intentionally push Trumps buttons and pretends that she is trying to be non partisan and is acting for the good of the country.

She is very clever and is beating the volatile Trump at this game but is extraordinarily disingenuous.

If you really want to work out a deal with somebody, you don't hold a press conference to direct attacks on that person, using carefully chosen verbiage in order to maximize the amount of the enraging effect you can have on them.

And it worked extremely well.

One should remember, the objective here is to destroy Trump.

One can ask, if the side that is trying to destroy Trump(take the word literally), attacking him every day, investigating him in every way, shape and form  after the Mueller probe came back without the hoped for crimes(that everybody was wrong on) would just try to get along with him, do you think we might have a deal done?

But Trump should be above all that for the good of the American people. This is true but we are seeing  one of his many character flaws come out here as he attempts to defend himself against the relentless attacks. Sad.

But even sadder is the democrats acting innocent and pretending that they are not intentionally inciting  and causing this.............only wanting the best interest of the American people(and Pelosi, 3 times today stating that she is praying for Trump-who actually believes that??), with the MSM giving their usual spin and saddest of all, those who actually believe it(which is the entire purpose of this game).

So you just read CNN's position on this above right?

They are cheering Pelosi on to antagonize Trump..........stay on the offensive and attack him this way to bring out his character flaws as he tries to defend himself.

Now, get them, out of the other side of their mouth,  painting Pelosi as the victim:

CNN's Anderson Cooper grills Facebook exec over fake Pelosi video

https://thehill.com/homenews/media/445542-cnns-anderson-cooper-grills-facebook-exec-over-fake-pelosi-video

“Facebook has repeatedly told Congress and the American people that you’re serious about fighting disinformation and fake news, yet this doctored video that I think your own fact checkers acknowledge is doctored of Speaker Pelosi remains on your platform," Cooper told Bicker. "Why?"

"I understand it’s a big business to get into of trying to figure out what’s true or not, but you’re making money by being in the news business. If you can’t do it well, shouldn’t you just get out of the news business?” Cooper asked.

"We aren't in the news business, we're in the social media business," Bickert countered.

“Well, you are in the news business,” Cooper fired back. “The reason you’re sharing news is because you make money from it. It keeps people watching you and more involved in your site, which I get, and that’s fair. But if you’re in the news business, which you are, you’ve got to do it right and this is false information you are spreading.

metmike: In my 63 years living on this planet, I don't recall, seriously I can't imagine it happening, that an entity with this much power, would make such ludicrous, hypocritical statements.

This would be like Charles Manson, finding out that a homeless person stole a candy bar from a local store, screaming and yelling that they should get the death penalty because there are starving children that need that candy (-:

Here is CNN's example of "doing it right":
