U.S. #corn ending stocks for 2019/20 come in above trade estimates but below last month. #Soybeans unchanged from last month. #Wheat down, and slightly below the trade guess.

U.S. winter #wheat plantings for the 2020 harvest will hit a 111-year low, including record low HRW acres. The trade seriously underestimated SRW acres, though.

For #wheat, #Australia's crop was reduced further - to 15.6 mmt from 16.1 mmt - but exports were only reduced 0.2 mmt (to 8.2 mmt). #Russia's crop fell 1 mmt to 73.5 mmt, and exports also fell by 1 mmt, to 34 mmt. #Ukraine's crop was unch but exports up 0.5 mmt to 20.5 mmt.

USDA placed 2019 yield for U.S. #soybeans at 47.4 bu/acre, up from 46.9 in Nov. That is the lowest yield since 2013. Yield for most of the top states came in higher than in Nov. Minnesota and the Dakotas saw declines. Penn. tied its record - the only top 20 state to do so.

USDA placed 2019 U.S. #corn yield at 168 bu/acre, up from 167 in Nov. Here's the shakeout by state. Most of the top states saw increases (except S Dakota). Tennessee was the lone record-setter of the top 20 states this year.
