I want you folks to tell me if this make sense, because I think congress has no idea what they are considering, and to put it bluntly, somebody should tell them to really talk to main St.

I think their idea is just plain stupid

Congress is considering paid leave for those in quarintine or have to stay home because there is no school or child care available

The length of paid leave varies from 7 to 14 days depending on who is talking

1st of all:

if you have the virus you will need more than 14 days to make sure you are not a carrier, regardless of how quickly you may think you are okay to go out in the world and mingle

Just look at Italy and how it spread from people who must have felt okay at some time but now Italy has a mess on their hands. The experts tell us 14 days  is not long enough

2nd:

If you have to stay home to look after children, 14 days is also not long enough. Just look at how long some schools are going to be closed

Finally and this is the big one:

Congress wants the employer to pick up the tab for the extra sick leave days.
Now doesn't that sound like undue financial hardship for a small busines to pay for workers who don't work

Congress has no clue of what is needed etc

Congress is also talking about tax breaks or grants loans etc

Now who do you think will get the grants, tax breaks etc???

Congress by way of tax breaks etc is picking winners and losers

What a bunch of idiots
