Been watching some pathetic fake news this evening on CNN.

Don Lemon, a major fake news Trump hater,  has been playing clips from January, February and early March of President Trump's statements, without any context and having guests come on to tell us that Trump left us unprepared and is responsible for all these deaths because he said during that time frame that the US was in good shape(his station, CNN, the MSM and the democrats accused Trump of OVER reacting at the time but he left that out).

Why don't they play clips of their own articles and what they were saying at that time?

Criticizing Trump for being a xenophobe when he stopped travelers from China?

The US coronavirus travel ban could backfire. Here's how

(CNN)Experts say travel restrictions the Trump administration put in place to stop the novel coronavirus from spreading could have unintended consequences that undermine that effort.

It's been days since the US restrictions went into effect, blocking foreign nationals who've visited China in the past two weeks from coming to the US.

Details about the US travel ban's impact are still emerging. But some are already urging the US to reconsider.

"All of the evidence we have indicates that travel restrictions and quarantines directed at individual countries are unlikely to keep the virus out of our borders," Jennifer Nuzzo, a senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, told lawmakers on Capitol Hill this week. "These measures may exacerbate the epidemic's social and economic tolls. And can make us less safe."

The director-general of the World Health Organization also weighed in this week, calling on countries not to impose travel restrictions."

Fake news CNN wants you to think the exact opposite happened.

Fake news (also known as junk news, pseudo-news, alternative facts or hoax news)[1][2] is a form of news consisting of deliberate disinformation or hoaxes spread via traditional news media (print and broadcast) or online social media.[3][4] Digital news has brought back and increased the usage of fake news, or yellow journalism.[5] The news is then often reverberated as misinformation in social media but occasionally finds its way to the mainstream media as well.[6] If fake news has no concern for the truth at all, there it would be a form of bullshit as defined by the philosopher Harry Frankfurt.

Hate is the most destructive emotion of all.

It will cause you to lower and violate the  previous standards that you set for yourself for ethical behavior and honestly because this emotion drives you to hurt the person that you hate more than those  previous standards cause you to follow the truth and be objective...............and act professionally, with integrity.

It will cause you to do and say things that are harmful to you and your reputation when the hate becomes neurotic because you become so obsessed with harming the hated person that rational thinking no longer applies.

Your interpretation of circumstances involving the hated person becomes so blatantly skewed  that the hoped for endpoint in every realm is always for them to be hurt.

Hate blackens the heart and soul of the hater. It can ruin personal relationships and ironically, more often than not destroys the hater, not the target of their hatred.

Don Lemon appears to be a very nice and sincere guy at all times. He is very charismatic and likeable. I used to like him alot...........until observing his hatred of Trump causing him to be nuerotically obsessed with obliterating Trump to the point of tossing out any professional journalistic standards.  His likeability and convincing sounding versions of the false narratives he sells, make him the perfect sales person for tv broadcasting snake oil.

Sadly, he is part of a new breed of journalism...........yellow journalism that now has deep roots and has taken over at CNN, CNBC, the NYT, W.Post and others when it comes this issue.

I know 2 elderly gentlemen. They don’t have computers. They get all of their daily news from CNN. Sometimes, I tell them about actual happenings that they don’t know about, and it leaves them almost speechless.

The MSM carefully selects what their listeners are supposed to hear. News is distorted, redacted…other news totally ignored. Panels of “experts” try to outdo each other with their one-sided views.

The MSM teaches their audience who to like, and who to hate.

As is said so often… the country is divided like never before (other than the Civil War). Sure, Trump has a lot to do with it… but, IMHO, the MSM is pouring gasoline on the fire.

PS…..

As an example…. A while back, Iran shot down a US drone aircraft. The US prepared for a military strike against Iran. 10 minutes before the missiles were supposed to be launched, Trump asked his generals, how many fatalities the Iranians would be expected to suffered. It was estimated that 150 Iranians would die. Trump said, he doesn’t want to kill 150 people to revenge the loss of an unmanned aircraft, and called off the attack.

The next morning, during an interview, Trump was asked why he called off the attack. He said (quoting from memory) “I don’t want to go to war with Iran”. Then he said again “I don’t want to go to war with Iran". Then he added (quoting from memory) “however, if they attack us seriously, we will obliterate them”. Then he said, for a third time “I don’t want to go to war with Iran”

One of the MSM (I don’t remember which one), reported on this interview. Their headline said “Trump wants to obliterate Iran”

I rest my case.

You might wonder why I spend so much time drawing attention to the biased hate coming from the MSM and don't spend an equal amount of time of focusing on biased hate coming from President Trump.

It's actually quite simple.

Trump is a politician. He is a republican. It's his job to push biased republican agenda that he represented in his platform that got him elected. I'm not defending the manner in which he does it at times and am critical that manner when he violates basic standards with him having massive character flaws. https://www.marketforum.com/forum/topic/52849/

Pelosi, Sanders and Biden are also politicians. They are democrats. They also represent political agenda that voters vote on to determine if they deserve to be in office. If they win, its a stamp of approval to signify their biased agenda is what the majority of people want.

Ideally, when we have almost the same number of democrats and republicans in office, we could do a better job compromising but that's often not the case. However, nobody can accuse a republican or democrat who is being blatantly biased towards their party's agenda of betraying their party and the people that elected them. Just the opposite in most cases..........their may be OVERLY asserting themselves using information that is not authentic to push their agenda but everybody accepts their position as being authentic based on representing their party. It's their job.

However, in the NEWS media THEIR job is to be neutral and tell both sides. We all know that the MSM consists of 90% liberals/democrats and half of them are progressive activists, many that have that position because it allows them to have an influence on the world. When they consistently express that in their work, it's violating their professional standards and the trust of the people that listen and read them.....when they are claiming to be objective.

This does NOT include commentators like Shawn Hannity who is the most biased of anybody. Why not? Hannity is up front on what he and his show is: "conservative political commentator."  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sean_Hannity

Let's see what Don Lemon calls himself: "American television journalist." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Lemon

There is a HUGE difference between the 2. The first one, tells you that they are conservative and they provide personal commentary which is biased towards the right. That is their job.

The 2nd one tells you that they report the unbiased news, not favoring either side. That is SUPPOSED TO BE their job.

Let's look at Chris Cuomo from CNN:  "American television journalist"       https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Cuomo

Same thing as Lemon, his job(regardless of his personal feelings) is to report both sides of the news in unbiased fashion.

How about reporter Jim Acosta:  American journalist and the chief White House correspondent for CNN  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Acosta

One can understand the liberal bias causing them to give a distorted picture, maybe even unintentionally because of human nature. But their reporting goes way outside of that. When it comes to President Trump, what they report is not only almost 100% negative and 0% positive but they constantly distort the news and even make things up as they spend hours and hours every single day attacking President Trump. It's obvious that their intense hate for him has caused them to violate their professional standards and betray their commitment of being honest and objective to viewers. They have turned their time on the air to be, at times a propaganda sewer of broadcasting.

Here's a good analogy. A football game.

There are 2 teams playing and most fans will cheer for 1 side or the other. This is expected and some of them will be pretty feisty and extremely biased. Unfortunately, politics between democrats and republicans looks more like this nowadays.

But then, we have the paid referee's. They are trained professionals that understand the rules better than anybody and they recognize violations and enforce rules on both sides.....by the book. It's their job. Their job is to be neutral.

This is what "American television journalists" are supposed to do when they report the news(like the nuetral refs).......unless they specify that they are something different........like a "conservative political commentator" which is not a referee. A conservative political commentator would be more like a coach on one side that is trying to help his team win. Shawn Hannity pushes the right side relentlessly and we expect that, based on him telling us that's what he does for a living.

Lemon, Cuomo and Acosta insist that they are unbiased and report both sides from the "most trusted news source on television".  They are big frauds abusing the freedom of the press and using convincing sounding words and schemes to get people to buy into their belief system(s)............which right now, is to obliterate President Trump any way they can so that he is not elected again.

The current coronavirus crisis has really showed how low they will go. The worst crisis in all of our lives, when accurate news about the huge unknowns is more important than ever. They have constantly distorted COVID-19 facts to intentionally scare people, make them think that its worse, that it will be getting much worse(even today, they were touting a model that says that new cases and deaths will double in June) and all of it to blame President Trump and convince people that he is responsible for every failure and most of the deaths and pathetically, because they don't want the economy to recover until AFTER he is defeated because a strong recovery will help him.

They hate Trump more than they love the truth, more than they love the American people.............and they are getting paid big bucks to impose their hatred for President Trump on their viewers.

This is why I single them out. I was on broadcast television (CBS affiliate from 1982-1993). I am not a republican.  I still have some liberal views(on healthcare for instance).  I voted democrat the first half of my life...Jimmy Carter is still my favorite president. I'm also a practicing environmentalist.

This isn't political for me.......it's just telling the truth and exposing those that pretend to represent it................and I do watch CNN a couple of hours on most days(which drives my wife nuts) so that I can make comments like this based on observations/facts not speculation.

Over the weekend, I was showing my son in laws dad, from Chicago what I post here, including the climate stuff and  telling him that I try to make the world a better place and he just laughed. "I wouldn't ever bother to take the time to read all those maps and information"  "I just listen to what they tell me on the news"  "How many people listen to Al Gore and how many read your stuff?"

It's true.

I guess it's better to be wasting my time trying to make the world a more honest/better place than to be effectively making it a more dishonest place........even if I was getting paid for it.

It's not just these 3 people at CNN.

Right now, we have alot of things going on in the news, with the coronavirus and rioting in Minnesota but what is CNN's top story that they are covering?

President Trump not wearing a mask. And they have several guests on telling us how bad he is including "his propaganda about this is worse than the propaganda that comes out of Russia"

OK, we know all that. I agree that President Trump should be more pro mask wearing(although with only 2 deaths in my county of IN and I am certain I don't have it, I have yet to  wear a mask-if I visited or lived in Detroit-I would wear a mask all the time-I am smart enough to know when to wear it).

But we heard CNN tell us the same thing last hour and earlier today and yesterday and the day before. Why does this or something similar to this need to be the top story almost every hour of every day on CNN?

Always constantly making the case that President Trump has done nothing but criminally wrong things and is ruining the country, costing tens of thousands of lives, being responsible for most of the deaths here, is a racist, xenophobe, caused the mass shootings, abuses children and is making all the wrong choices about everything he does.

Ahead of elections, both parties spend a ton of money on campaign ads. They are often negative about their opponents and apparently pretty effective or so much money would not be spend on them.

In this case, Biden doesn't need to pay CNN for political ads to help him get elected. CNN's  regular broadcasting coverage features anti Trump coverage in almost every hour of every day. Often the entire hour is devoted to it.

If Biden ran a negative Trump ad during a commercial break, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between  CNN's regular programming and the commercial break.........seriously.

CNN is intentionally making this choice in a blatant attempt to affect the upcoming election in order to ensure that Trump does not get elected.

This makes any attempted influence that Russia might have used ineffectively in 2016 to affect the election look like a joke.

CNN is in an intentional full court press mode between now and November to try to influence the upcoming election in favor of whoever runs against President Trump.

They will use the coronavirus, the economy, the American people and whatever it takes to accomplish their mission.

I'll try to find a link to the presidents speech and actions.

The reason to be posting it here is Don Lemon's very emotional response.

Lemon: "This was just a made for television moment staged by this president" "Don't believe it America."

"Wake up America, our country is teetering on a dictatorship, we need to fight back!"

WOW!  Don Lemon is encouraging these violent protestors, who, across the country have been burning down buildings and cars. Vandalizing and looting businesses, throwing bricks and other objects at the police and causing violence to create massive chaos and doing the exact opposite of honoring George Floyd looting.........  TO FIGHT BACK.

No plea to please be peaceful but "WE NEED TO FIGHT BACK!"

I assumed they would be critical of anything Trump said but this is total insanity.

One of the most followed national news network anchors, especially by those on the left is pleading with violent protestors to fight back against efforts to reign in their violence.

CNN had a Bishop that oversees St. Johns on tonight(the church in Washington DC that was damaged  last night by protestors). No doubt they called around to get the best person they could find to makes these points.

Don Lemon came on later to tell us that Trump's actions are not those of a Christian and he is just using the church as a photo op and doesn't care about them or other Christians.

Lemon: "Donald Trump is pretending to be a president and pretending to be a Christian but he is not. He is pretending to act like his hero, George Patton but this is all about getting re elected. Sensible Americans know that America is not a dictatorship."

'I am outraged': Bishop overseeing church responds to Trump photo-op

Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde, who oversees St. John's Episcopal Church in Washington DC, responds to President Trump's photo-op at the church shortly after his remarks about the protests over the death of George Floyd.

"The president did not pray and he used a bible without my permission. I'm outraged, my people and people from around the country are outraged"

"I am talking about the abuse of sacred symbols that are antithetic to everything that we stand for!"

metmike: That church was severely damaged by protestors last night but it sounds like Donald Trump did the most damage as the devil reincarnated today (-:

Never any talk about the damage to the church by CNN from law breaking, violent protestors.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Fox did an interview with the actual rector of St. Johns.  It went completely different. No hate with a mostly positive message and they actually talked about what happened..............the church was vandalized/set on fire.

St. John's Church rector on aftermath of fire, impromptu Trump visit: 'Like I'm in some alternative universe'

Same event, same place, same person.........but the coverage between 2 different news sources is like night and day.

Part of the reason for CNN being so upset tonight at these actions by President Trump could be because it reigns in the chaos and potentially returns things back to normal.

Fortunately, people have NOT been listening to Don Lemon and have NOT been fighting back.

Nation’s streets calmer as more protests stay peaceful

  https://romesentinel.com/stories/nations-streets-calmer-as-more-protests-stay-peaceful,98880

WASHINGTON — Protests were largely peaceful and the nation’s streets were calmer than they have been in days since the killing of George Floyd set off demonstrations that at times brought violence and destruction.

As of Wednesday morning there had been over 9,000 arrests nationwide since the unrest began following Floyd’s death May 25 in Minneapolis. But there was a marked quiet compared with the unrest of the past few nights, which included fires and shootings in some cities.

The calmer night came as many cities intensified their curfews, with authorities in New York and Washington ordering people off streets while it was still daylight.

A block away from the White House, thousands of demonstrators massed following a crackdown a day earlier when officers on foot and horseback aggressively drove protesters away from Lafayette Park.

Media reports, including the Associated Press called the demonstrators peaceful but the Park Service reported that when told to leave they, “continued to throw projectiles, and attempted to grab officers’ weapons”.

CNN’s Lemon: Riots a ‘Mechanism for Restructure in Our Country’ — ‘No Other Alternative but to Exhibit This Behavior’

https://www.breitbart.com/clips/2020/05/30/cnns-lemon-riots-a-mechanism-for-restructure-in-our-country-no-other-alternative-but-to-exhibit-this-behavior/

Lemon suggested the events could be a “mechanism” to reorganize the country.

“We don’t know what’s happening in this country right now,” Lemon said. “Perhaps this is some sort of mechanism for a restructure in our country or some sort of change in our country for us to deal with whatever we need to deal with in this country as we look at pictures on the right of burning and pictures on the left of looting.”

He went on to lament the situation but said it could be indicative of those with “no other option” and “nothing left to lose.”
