Trump: Americans Who Died in War Are ‘Losers’ and ‘Suckers’

The president has repeatedly disparaged the intelligence of service members, and asked that wounded veterans be kept out of military parades, multiple sources tell The Atlantic.

metmike: So what is a person supposed to believe? If you support Trump, you won't believe it and most loyal supporters don't even see his personality flaws............and there are plenty.

If you hate Trump you always believe the bad things, even the fake news............and there's loads of both.

What/who to believe?

We can be certain that the people telling this story are politically motivated to keep Trump from being elected and working together.

Otherwise, they would not have waited  2 years and suddenly all 4 of them, together somehow decided it would be a good idea to tell this shocking story.........................  exactly 2 months before the election........from 4 of them at the same time.

The most telling item.

John Bolton recently came out with a book that was intended to obliterate Trump's reputation by telling us everything bad about him. He pulled no punches and told us all sorts of stories with details and things that he claimed Trump said.

Turns out that John Bolton was with Trump at the time he supposedly said these things. Somehow, this did not make Boltons tell all book.

So John Bolton was asked about it and this is what he said:

John Bolton says he didn't hear Trump insult fallen soldiers in France

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/515132-john-bolton-says-he-didnt-hear-trump-insult-fallen-soldiers-in-france

"I didn't hear that," Bolton told The New York Times. "I'm not saying he didn't say them later in the day or another time, but I was there for that discussion."

metmike: So we know, based on the above, that  it's clearly bullsheet.

Just another attempt to smear Trump.

End of story............not.

In todays age of tabloid, yellow journalism sources can take anything that anybody says or create whatever situation  they want to manufacture a false narrative.

So much of the MSM is making it their top story(s) and treating it like  its a proven fact, while adding tons of additional information to bolster the one sided attacks.

Clearly to hurt Trumps election chances by taking away votes of those that support the military.

So how should Trump be judged fairly with regards to the military?

How about his ACTIONS vs words that  a small group of his enemies are suddenly alleging that he said 2 years ago.

The first source  is obviously biased but Trumps foreign policy agenda and accomplishments are light years better than any recent administration from either party.

He appears to have done more for the military than the previous administration did in 8 years and certainly caused MANY less of our military  to be killed....going way back.

That last fact is a huge one for me, personally.

"At more than 400 veterans treatment courts across the U.S., vets with substance abuse issues or mental health conditions who commit nonviolent crimes may enter court-supervised medical treatment and get access to veteran-centric services and benefits in lieu of going to jail.

The law will encourage the development of a grant program to expand these courts across all 50 states.

"We've wanted this for a long time. They've been trying to get it for a long time, and now we have it," Trump said after signing the bill"

The objective with this hit piece is to use it hammer away at Trumps somewhat weak support from military families.

Here is a similar graph for Obama, who was even slightly LESS favorable than Trump.

However, the difference is that with Trump, like with everybody's opinion of him, he had a very small amount of "somewhat" unfavorable but a HUGE amount of VERY unfavorable, though the next highest category was VERY favorable for Trump(just like everyone else).

Meanwhile Trump's sources come forward and voluntarily report what they heard. So why do libs waste everybodies time with this crap....TDS TDS TDS. If anybody deserved credit for anything Trump deserves credit for the way he has taken care of our military, our police and all the first responders. Go to hell cnn, the W Post and whoever else prints crap like this

If I have this correctly, rumors about Trump's disrespect for fallen soldiers started during the D-Day events, when he visited the Normandy, in his first year in office.

I clearly remember... it was a rainy day.in bad weather. His helicopter was unable to take off as planned, and he missed the cemetary vent.

At that time, his opponents immediately started the rumors that he disrespected the military, especially the fallen ones.

Sadly, the MSM is powerful enough to influence peoples' minds. Can't believe most of the stuff they are saying

We are being told by several sources that Fox news confirmed that he said this.

No, it's not a confirmation that he said this, it's a confirmation that there are  unidentified  ex staff members(who either quit or got fired-likely disgruntled) SAID he said it 2 years ago and now, have decided to make it headline news.

Other sources that were there, including never Trumper John Bolton claim he didn't say this when the accusing sources claim he did.

Trump says all sorts of offensive and derogatory things about his many enemies and people that he is having a dispute with  but he has been a great friend to the military.

Name one time when a person or organization that he has a wonderful relationship with got attacked or called names?

Trump is extraordinarily patriotic and has said nothing but positive things about the military(Trump doesn't hide his opinions, either, if he feels a certain way, he blurts it out for the world to hear, even when its inappropriate and vicious)

His actions to help/support  vets and build and support the military fly in the face of these comments.

Is it possible that he said this?

Yes but the only evidence we have is from one incident with a small group that won't even identify themselves(because then, they could be confronted and we would be able to connect motives based on the background/history) that are clearly using it to hurt him before the election.

If he really felt this way, then there would be a pattern of behavior for us to track............especially for Trump and his big mouth (his feud with McCain was a personal thing and had nothing to do with the military).

Where are all the other incidents and all the other people who witnessed them that show that President Trump has this level of distain for vets and the military?

Where are the tweets, from the man of a million tweets that blurts out every thought he ever had.

Where is....even  1 tweet that shows he feels this way about the military?

Or one negative statement/comment about the military or the men and women in the military or veterans? (personal attacks on a person he is feuding with are not attacks on the military).

He is very proud of our military and goes overboard, embellishing and bragging about them.

veterans speak up for Trump

https://www.rt.com/news/499944-coronavirus-test-dead-false-positive-exaggerate-pandemic/

"Throughout his administration, President Trump has consistently stood by our men and women in uniform and cared for them once they have returned to civilian life. From groundbreaking legislation that provides veterans with real and permanent health care choice, to the largest-ever investment in the United States military, to his firm commitment to preventing endless wars and bringing troops home, President Trump has demonstrated his unwavering support for America’s service members time and time again. Moreover, he has spent countless hours as president visiting battlefields and cemeteries, honoring Gold Star families and comforting them in their grief, and praising wounded warriors and honoring their sacrifice.

Under the Obama-Biden Administration, the Department of Veterans Affairs was a disaster and our military was decimated. Today, Joe Biden is running on a radical left-wing agenda that would further weaken America’s security and standing in the world. Joe Biden’s friends in the media know he does not deserve the support of our nation’s service members, so they have fabricated a total lie in a desperate attempt to attack their opponent."
