Will be interesting to see how far they drop...especially the Spring Wheat.
Soil moisture anomalies are massive in the northern 1/2 of the belt:

These were the areas helped by rains, mostly the last 3 days and mostly? after they will show up in the crop ratings.

corn down 3%, beans down 2%............I thought it might be slightly worse.
Spring wheat down 10% to just 27% G/E and 37% P/VP. Wow!
U.S. #corn is rated 65% good/excellent (down 3 pts),
#soybeans 60% g/e (down 2 pts),
spring #wheat 27% good/exc (down 10 pts).
North Dakota spring wheat is rated 19% g/e, 39% on corn, 23% soybeans (record low).
One of the biggest questions this week might be whether the weekend rains (or even those overnight Sun/Mon) were factored into conditions. The answer most likely is yes and no, but it's impossible to know the specifics. I believe respondents usually submit numbers from Fri-Mon.
I can vouch for Ohio. We have been getting steady consistent rains. One of only a couple states to see improving conditions.
Plenty more on the way.
OH could be the garden spot this year!
