Have  couple real good contacts in NW Iowa. A few guys are in the field. This area was massive drought early and good rains late. 230b/a aph. Some started because it has dried down that fast and some started because its so brittle it will not stand. Both of these reasons are not good and are rarely heard on that ground in far NW Iowa. Anyway these fields are sub 100 b/a so far.

I guess ProFarmer totally missed those fields.

The #pftour21 measured western Iowa #corn yields up from last year, to the biggest degree in the west central district. Pod counts on #soybeans were up from last year, especially in the southwest district.

another friend started corn in NC Ohio and first field went 262....says he had near perfect weather all summer

also if you have nay beans to be priced the basis is still being hit with the gulf port closure. Here in central Ind we went from 20 to 35 cents on beans

Thanks mcfarm.

262 is off the charts for that location!
