Good news cutworm.

Even in NY city the schools are going to be kept open, according to the new mayor Eric Adams.  I am strongly in favor of this even as some folks I know are more cautious than I care to be.

I think people in general, are more and more "out".  Meaning, getting back to living their lives.  But there are still disruptions to people's lives here and there.  I expect our Omicron wave will be like the wave in South Africa.

On the other hand, I have enjoyed not getting sick with anything in the past 2 years and I might even continue to wear a mask at indoor public spaces in the future.  I'm used to it.

metmike: I agree with this view. Omicron could get us to herd immunity in just a few months!!!

metmike:

However, there is a chance that Omicron could not be that bad and quickly get us to herd immunity and all of a sudden............vaccinations are not as important as they have been this past year with the vaccine saving hundreds of thousands of lives because of the Delta but not saving that many lives with Omicron.
