December Cattle

It would seem that both hay and grain are going to remain high and/or unavailable. this winter. Not to mention a shortage of hay. Might be that there will be some ranchers that dump cattle into the market soon because they can't feed them through the winter. Might drive cattle prices down a bit for the dec contract. And start going back up in the spring.

Thoughts?

Yep Mark I agree those reasons are a recipe for a sell-off.

I mostly fool with currencies but now and again when Im bored i'll do a cattle trade. Talk about some swings...

I'll just look at the general trend ,wait for a pullback ,then take a shot. More entertainment than anything and prolly just lucky to be roughly b reak even on those trades.

Real cattle traders Im sure dig deeper.

Do you trade cows on a regular basis?

John. I do trade cattle most days. But ya gotta be on your toes. I also have been back into CD since it fell out of bed a month ago.
