About those Classified Documents

There is a question that I haven't heard much of regarding the classified documents that Trump stole.  It isn't "Is he guilty of breaking the law?"  It isn't "Should he be prosecuted?"

The question I have is: WHY did he steal the documents?  It is common knowledge that Trump doesn't like to read.  They couldn't even get him to read the daily briefing of 1-2 pages listing the critical threats to our country and our interests around the world.

Could it be for money?  He has money (or so he boasts).

So we can rule out that he wanted to read them.  George Conway, the GOP never Trumper suggested that trying to understand Trump's motives is futile.  He suggested that one should look at Trump as one would understand a 5 year old.  "They're mine!!!"

Could it be for money?  He has money (or so he boasts).

A little conspiratorial voice in my head recently posed another possibility.  He traded some of them to the Saudis to get them to cut oil production.  Opec recently announced they were cutting 2 million barrels per day.  That would jack up gas prices and make Biden look bad.

I recoil from conspiracy theories as a matter of habit.  But I'd like someone to ask him why.  Why does he want those documents?

Great question joj!

I can't even guess.

Your guessing about what Trump was thinking or will do has a pretty good track record, so I'll go with your thoughts on this.

POSTS OF THE DECADE

BEFORE the election WxFollower and especially joj posted about how they thought President Trump would try to overturn the election results if he lost.

This event.........by a very wide margin was the most organized attempt to do the most damage possible to the most cherished element in our Constitution........overturning the presidential  election results and will of the people using blatant fraud!

"Put it in NTR if you like Mike.

What about the election?  Trump is not only rigging it by gutting the USPS, but he's preparing the refusal to admit defeat due to a fraudulent election.  (He has state so multiple times). I can't imagine him admitting defeat."
