I was watching the Liston/Clay fight again and am amazed at "Clay" in his prime. There wasn't another boxer in history, with these super human reflex's.
Unlike every other boxer that uses their arms/hands to defend, he has this additional off the charts ability to also see the punches coming before they land and quickly jerk his head out of the way......many hundreds of times during the fights.
Liston had freaky 84 inch long arms which made this defense seem almost impossible!
Clay's reach of 80 inches was also pretty impressive.
It's really like the other guy is moving in slow motion to the mind of Clay/Ali. I could watch him do this on video's all day and not get tired of it!
He was clearly the greatest of all time!
And he had 3 years taken away from him for standing up against the US government that loves unethical wars!

LOL I ENJOY WATCHIN' STUFF LIKE THAT IN 50% SLOW SPEED
Thanks, Jean. Watching Ali more now that we have the internet makes me appreciate that he was a fluke. Somebody with unique skills that seem to be impossible.
Looks like the first link wasn't working, maybe this one will.
The profound part of this is him dodging 21 punches in 10 seconds with his hands down and doing it by just bobbing his head(since he's in the corner and can't move).
This seems impossible.
However, in his sparring/training sessions, this part of how he trained.
In the corner, with the other guy swinging away, with him having hands down and bobbing his head to evade all the punches.
