Evidently nobody hurt, the most important thing. More later. Happened only ~15 minutes ago. They may resume the program.

Gunman took ~6 shots per Wolf Blitzer, who was only a few feet away and was jumped on by police for his protection. He doesn’t know how the gunman was able to get that close to the ballroom because there are metal detectors. Secret Service says gunman “in custody”. So, I’m now not sure gunman actually killed.

DT wants to return to the ballroom. But it remains to be seen if he’ll be allowed to.

Posted at 9:17PM, <40 minutes after the shots were fired:

Quite an evening in D.C. Secret Service and Law Enforcement did a fantastic job. They acted quickly and bravely. The shooter has been apprehended, and I have recommended that we “LET THE SHOW GO ON” but, will entirely be guided by Law Enforcement. They will make a decision shortly. Regardless of that decision, the evening will be much different than planned, and we’ll just, plain, have to do it again. President DONALD J. TRUMP

Thanks, Larry!

Despite my endless posting to speak out about Donald Trump, who needs to be removed from office, the thing that we should all want the LEAST is for him to be assassinated or even shot at.

Donald Trump needs to be removed from office by LEGAL means (or if his health fails) ONLY.

An assassination would make him a martyr and hero in some people's eye's and result in the WRONG legacy that Donald Trump deserves. It also rewards that kind of behavior and makes others want to do it.

Despite my wanting him out of office ASAP, there is no room for ever even wanting it to happen from an assassination by the hands of a terrorist. Ever!  We should all stand 100% united on that, regardless of politics.

I told my wife this same thing a dozen+ times because there is nobody more likely to be a target right now  but didn't even want to bring the topic up here because it actually made  me uncomfortable  to start a thread about assassinating Donald Trump to state that I really hope it doesn't happen.

Thank you, Mike!

“Law Enforcement has requested that we leave the premises, consistent with protocol, which we will do, immediately. I will be giving a press conference in 30 minutes from the White House Press Briefing Room. The First Lady, plus the Vice President, and all Cabinet members, are in perfect condition. We will be speaking to you in a half an hour. I have spoken with all the representatives in charge of the event, and we will be rescheduling within 30 days. President DONALD J. TRUMP”

Much appreciated, Larry!

It's good to hear that nobody was hurt. No government officials, reporters or security/cops.

It's sad that there is so much violence in our world and our country is setting such a bad example in so many ways but our ability to prevent attacks like this against people of both parties should stand above that.

It's very good for Donald Trump to speak out against this so quickly. Let's hope he sends the right messaging.

The secret service agent that was shot was wearing a protective vest and appears to be ok.

Apparently he is a 30 year old white male from the Los Angeles area(California). Very preliminary.

I'm getting this from CNN.

My bad on the race. Images Larry showed indicate that he was NOT white.

Per Wolf Blitzer, who was only a few feet from the shooter, the shooter definitely was in the supposedly secure area, i.e., past the magnetometer(s).

Hey Mike,

I agree 100%! How Trump handled the news conference was impressive. I liked many of the things he said, some of the best things of either term. It’s no secret that I’ve never been a fan of Trump’s divisiveness. But how he handled this news conference was very different.

Hey Mike,

This reminds me of our and the country’s speculation after the first assassination attempt at the opportunity he had to unify the country at the then upcoming GOP convention. He did well for ~10 minutes, but that was it. The rest of his speech deteriorated back into his typical divisiveness and thus ruined the speech for me. Ever since he had remained divisive in just about everything until this news conference.

In this case, he had a much more unifying tone at the news conference. How long will it last? I’m not making any bets it will continue but I never like to give up hope. Crossing my fingers that this time will be different and not a one and done.

We're starting to learn a great deal about his life as reported in this article.

Of course he was crazy but obviously a very bright person. Targeting Donald Trump specifically, didn't make sense at this venue but we'll wait for more details to try to understand it better.

Hey Mike,

I’m reading numerous posts that this was staged. Have you by chance? I mean the majority of anti-Trumpers are saying that mainly as another diversion away from Epstein, Iran, economy, etc. and to get the ballroom. Also, many of these conspiracists are saying that there’s no way that he could have gotten that close with a long gun. Some of these folks appear to be intelligent.

These folks don’t trust the Trump admin. due to his numerous lies. Regardless, my immediate reactions have been it wasn’t staged. What person is going to give up his freedom and risk his life to do this? Also, he shot an LEO.

I can understand because of the constant lying, but this is hard to fathom.

Mike, your opinion? I know you sometimes believe in things in conflict with the official narrative. TIA

PS, the truce with the press is over per his 60 minutes interview and nastiness toward the interviewer.

Hi Larry!

I completely get why people think that way but doubt that it was staged.

What makes people suspicious that it was staged was the way that some people on the right framed it afterwards.

Donald Trump for instance, claiming that the assassination attempts against him are because he's one of the greatest presidents in history and actually using President Lincoln as an example of how that works.

Fox News used it in the same way and ironically, pushed the legit issue of political hatred and division being unacceptable. While at the same time, Fox is clearly  the #1 messenger of hatred and division in broadcast television. Making Donald Trump out to be a great unifying force but the extreme radical left just won't get on board with all his infallible messages designed to save our country and the world from evil that wants to destroy him.

If anything, that's an understatement from somebody that watches Fox.

It's extremely absurd that a crazy person, that never had any chance of reaching the president did what he did and suddenly, Donald Trump get's a huge bump up in the polls..........despite the 1 quadrillion times more NEGATIVE impact that Donald Trump is having on our country and the world right now.

People are scratching their heads and realizing it makes no sense, which I think leads them to think it was designed(which I don't agree with).

We live in a world of powerful schemers that do in fact control the dynamics and false narratives using far more impactful situations!!!!

The Saturday incident (which I think was a lone wolf, crazed with hatred attack) was like a pimple on an elephants butt compared to an entire herd of elephants that are trampling us(biggest global energy crisis in history), even as they spin it as a just cause to save the world from fake Iranian nuclear bomb threats.

Iran was NOT developing their nuclear weapons and all the enriched uranium has been buried deeply underground since June 2025!

Hey Mike,

I posted the following to my anti-Trump online wx buddy:

“I know that the Trump admin. constant lies and inconsistent messaging in combo with the Trump at news conference talking about the WH ballroom as well as the idea that only the greatest POTUS’s are targeted for assassination has been the main fuel to generate this conspiracy theory on social media that the assasination attempt was staged. That’s the Trump admin’s fault for sure.

However, a lot of these posts are based on their anti-Trump bias clouding their thinking (they hope it’s proven to have been staged because that would reflect very negatively on Trump, which they’d love to end up being the case) and/or they’re trolling MAGA posters because they for good reason can’t stand them (although I don’t support trolling on either side).

I still highly doubt this was staged.”

——————————————————

Then my wx buddy replied with this:

“From what I'm seeing online the basis for the belief it's faked are as follows.

Trump never attended before this one

All prominent cabinet members were present
but none seemed scared or concerned

Trump not being ushered away fast enough

Photos of hegseth, Kash, and other laughing and joking.......how did they know it wasn't a bigger plot involving Iran?

Those seem to be the questions I see on the internet.

Even though his posts seem articulated they also seem manic and disconnected”

———————————

Mike, any thoughts about this reply from my wx buddy? TIA

Thanks, Larry!

We live in an age where people have almost unlimited information to show whatever it is that they want to believe in.

Human beings with natural cognitive bias (which is all of us) will almost always go to sources that tell them/us what they/we want to believe, because their/our  brains define that as the truth.

Echo chambers are just one example. When people look things up, if there are different versions, they will pick the one that lines up closest to their belief system.

Even brilliant scientists do this. Climate change is 1 example.

This has created a huge world of people p, even smart people becoming conditioned to automatically behaving using the anti scientific method.

They only fact check what they don’t want to believe but give things they want to believe a free pass.

After doing this thousands of times for years and years, people have no idea that this defines society in 2026, using the wonderful technology that should be enlightening and educating us ALL the time with NEW things or correcting misconceptions or understanding other people different than us, they instead go to sources that just repeat things that we think that we know or tell is versions that we want to be true or that our bias tells us are true.

The power of this can’t be overstated, especially when you have entities like Fox that exploit it for profits and politicians, political parties that thrive on it.

That set the stage for this current conspiracy theory. Along with Trump and his minions lying 10 times more than they tell the truth comes an assumption that everything they state is a lie.

Then, the icing on the conspiracy theory cake is the desperate need for Trump to change the narrative to something different than Iran, or Epstein or tariffs or the other disasters.

In addition, his people, the media and MAGA are using this opportunity to spin this blatantly into A reason for his new ballroom and as a reason to blame the Ds for everything bad with the Rs being for everything good.

They are doing their best to get benefits from what should be viewed in political unity/harmony with equal outrage from both sides.

It raises suspicions about why the Rs are exploiting this to the max, as if it were planned.

Despite none of the authentic facts supporting that when viewed from a mind detached from the politics or preconceived bias.

Every shred of evidence about this guy suggests a lone wolf that hated Donald Trump. The circumstances all seem crazy but very believable for a person crazy like this.

He really never got close to killing the president or others. It’s not like it was a close call, like the bullet that hit Trumps ear and missed his brain by inches.

The security acted appropriately.
Speaking of which. We have many people thinking that the first assassination attempt was staged for similar reasoning.

There are images of slowed down video that showed the real bullet  that hit his ear. A real person was killed in the crowd. A real sniper shot immediately.

The benefits to Donald Trump from the spins afterwards are what cause the brains of  people that hate Donald Trump to use conspiracy theories to explain things their brains don’t want to accept.

Thanks, Mike.

I had replied to him last night with the following, which is fairly consistent with what you just posted meaning you and I pretty much agree:

————-

“What I’m confident happened is:

-Some anti-Trump influencers with a wide following, who know better based on the plainly known facts of the case, intentionally made up fake theories that they, themselves, don’t even believe.

-They then post these fake theories as troll posts to annoy pro-Trumpers and to get their jollies spreading fake news because Trump does the same. Give them a taste of their own medicine.

-A good # of anti-Trumpers are understandably fooled into thinking these are real based on the numerous lies, amount of deceit, and rampant corruption from the Trump admin., the likes of which are unprecedented among our POTUS’s. They have so much hatred for DT (for good reason) that they take these and run with them instead of using their brains and following the facts to realize they’re false. They so badly want them to be true.

-These folks who fall for this fake news then spread these like wildfire through reposts and their own posts getting many more to fall for them. That’s where we are.

-I’m not falling for this being a fake assassination attempt based on the clear facts just like I never believed Trump won in 2020. Conspiracy theories are almost always false.”

When I call Trump out here, I always use authentic facts and the truth.

I do NOT hate Donald Trump, instead I profess love, unity, honesty, giving to make the world a better place and positive mentalities/attributes which is the biggest reason to call out Donald Trump for representing the diametrically opposed polar opposite of those things.

For those in MAGA that don't like me using terms like "baboon"  or psychopath or delusional  for Donald Trump, man I hear you!

There is nobody looking more forward than me,  to the end of this presidency so that I don't have to SPEAK OUT about a DIABOLICAL  president by using terms that accurately describe him.

I would much prefer to load this place up with nothing but positive things and PRETEND that Donald Trump is not wrecking our country and wrecking our world.

I will NEVER make a personal attack on anybody here and when I use negative verbiage to describe Donald Trump it will ALWAYS, ALWAYS be entirely based on authentic facts and be based on speaking out against things that he does.

For instance, I don't use the term "psychopath" loosely for 3 world leaders. It's used appropriately, based on rock solid psychiatric science medicine.

I made a meme on the previous page of a baboon with it's HUGE MOUTH wide open to creatively condemn Donald Trump for his horrific threat to end all civilization for 90 million people in Iran.

Is it unfair to call Donald Trump a baboon???

I picked that animal intentionally because it was so appropriate after his lunatic threats to Iran's innocent people.

What Does It Mean When Someone Calls You a Baboon

https://inspirepearls.com/blogs/people/what-does-it-mean-when-someone-calls-you-a-baboon

The phrase "calling someone a baboon" is often used as an insult or a teasing remark. It draws upon the animal's characteristics—such as its appearance, behavior, or perceived traits—to convey a message about the person being addressed. But the exact meaning can vary depending on cultural, social, and contextual factors. Generally, when someone calls you a baboon, they might be implying that:

  • You look similar to a baboon, perhaps in facial features or physical appearance.
  • You are acting in a foolish, silly, or unruly manner.
  • You are being loud, boisterous, or aggressive.
  • You are exhibiting primitive or uncivilized behavior.

++++++++++++++

There has never been a president that matches those traits above as close as Donald Trump. I INTENTIONALLY chose that animal for the meme. Not out of hate but it fits him perfectly and I'm speaking out about who he is with visuals/memes that have a much greater impact on people than  pages with hundreds of boring words.

++++++++++

How about the term diabolical for Bibi Netanyahu and Donald Trump?

Diabolical vs. Evil

https://thisvsthat.io/diabolical-vs-evil

Motivation

When it comes to motivation, diabolical individuals are often driven by a desire for power, control, or revenge. They may be willing to go to great lengths to achieve their goals, even if it means causing harm to others.

Conclusion

In conclusion, while diabolical and evil are often used interchangeably to describe something wicked or morally wrong, there are subtle differences between the two. Diabolical actions are often characterized by their cunning and strategic nature, while evil actions may be more indiscriminate and driven by a desire to cause harm for its own sake. Both diabolical and evil actions can have far-reaching and devastating impacts, but the methods, intent, and motivations behind them may differ. Understanding these differences can help us better recognize and combat the darkness that exists in the world.

++++++++++++++

Those were not random adjectives that I choose to constantly describe Donald Trump, Bibi Netanyahu and Putin because I hate them. They are entirely based on those words accurately describing those guys using the definition of words and solid understanding of psychiatric,  pathological conditions in human beings.
