Been watching these strong storms, possibly aimed at the far north side of Evansville(southern edge of the line), maybe around 7pm.

Update: a bit after 7pm.

There is a severe thunderstorm watch and they could produce severe weather.

What to do in a warning with a situation like this?

Just stay inside, away from windows or stay in your car which will be grounded if hit by lighting. DON'T BE OUTSIDE.

Have your electronics charged up BEFORE it hits in case you lose power..... which means NOW!

Be grateful for the needed rain that falls after they pass and hopefully without any damage.

Soils are pretty dry and we have a couple of HOT days ahead of us before the next good chance of rain arrives next week.

There is a risk of severe weather next week from the next system that will gradually move from west to east, then south.

7:05 pm: The storms have weakened and the southern edge of the better rains is probably going to stay just north of Evansville.

7:12 pm: They cancelled the Severe Storm Watch for Evansville and vicinity.
