Here's the latest forecast below, starting Sunday morning.
60% chance of rain at some point in the afternoon. Even a light shower that makes the track wet means they can't run until the track is dry and stays dry for several hours.
Mondays forecast is closer to 15% chance of rain.
Things can change but I will guess they end up moving the event to Monday.

The Indy 500 on Sunday is likely to be rescheduled for Monday which is a day that looks dry.
They haven't rescheduled the race for Monday but THEY WILL!
Especially since the weather looks great for Monday.

They could actually get lucky on the rain, enough to try to pull off the race today with delay(s).
The Speedway is located west/northwest of Indianapolis. Rains today will be pretty light and maybe on and off in the afternoon with enough off to possibly race.
One scenario would be to start the race, then rains hit and cause them to wait for numerous hours, then rains move out and they finish the race. The rain threat WILL end but not until late in the day.
How late will they wait???

What an ending to the race!! I admit though that I watched the replay on the internet after hearing about it.
Also, I saw that they gave various tributes to Kyle Busch, including stickers and lap #18. It’s good to see the racing community come together like that!

I was at the movies with my daughters family and also missed the live version and don't follow this particular sport that closely but agree that was an amazing finish.
