“I love #20, “Please Release Me” by the female trio, Wilson Philips! Beautiful and fantastic song! Sadly there’s not much like this anymore.

Larry,
OMG!!! I totally forgot about ELO recently! As somebody that loves music profoundly, especially from the instrumentals (even though this thread was about human voice harmonies) they were awesome!!!!
I'll bet you recognize all these songs below!
You just made my morning by listening to them!! What a treat!!!

A few of these heavy metal groups I actually didn't care for but regardless, everybody probably remembers these songs.
I love The Final Countdown (Europe) great intro from Mike’s last post!
“Wishing You Were Here” by the great and legendary Chicago (1974): after knowing and loving this song for ~50 years, I only tonight found out the amazing group, The Beach Boys, sang backing vocals with their signature beautiful harmony!
See this live performance on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 1974. This song has the legendary usual lead guitarist, Terry Kath, on lead vocals here with the writer of the song, tenor Peter Cetera, only singing backing vocals (because the lead vocals needed Terry’s lower octave voice) along with the Beach Boys along with a very memorable bridge:

I didn't know that either Larry until you just shared it.
I loved that song but the live performance you linked to was the best ever for me!
Hard to believe that it's been more than 5+ decades. I graduated from high school in that year.
Today, I usually can guess the year (give or take a year) that songs I liked were popular in the 60's and 70's by remembering what year in school that I was in when they were on the radio.
In the 1980's, same thing but tied to events and time frames in my life.
