I've been an adult leader in Pack/Troop 350 for 30+ years. Den Leader for my sons in Pack 350, Cub Scouts. Taught the chess, weather, and personal fitness merit badges to numerous groups. Went to Summer Camp at Old Ben with them.
I ran their week long West-side Nut Club Fall Festival Booth for 15 years. Wonderful organization. If everybody followed the Scout Law, Motto and Promise our world would be an awesome place.
On Pete Hegseth and the government making demands of this private organization.
This is nuts, especially coming from this administration. What scouting has always been about is being exactly the opposite of what Donald Trump is:

DUTY TO OTHER PEOPLE: Many people need help. A cheery smile and a helping hand make life easier for others. By doing a Good Turn daily and helping when you're needed, you prove yourself a Scout and do your part to make this a better world.
DUTY TO SELF: Keeping yourself physically strong means taking care of your body. Eat the right foods and build your strength. Staying mentally awake means learn all you can, be curious, and ask questions. Being morally straight means to live your life with honesty, to be clean in your speech and actions, and to be a person of strong character.

Telling lies, abusing power, neglecting the less fortunate, punishing enemies, having no ethics or character............yep, those are the traits a good Boy Scout Leader speaks out against..........and people that behave that way.
Ignoring and breaking laws. Going back on your word/ Breaking promises. Committing treason against your own country.
Committing fraud, stealing from the American people. Focusing on self serving acts at the expense of others. Abandoning allies. Trying to achieve ultimate power.
Making personal attacks. Calling people childish names. Being a racist and discriminating against others.
Trying to overturn elections and cause an Insurrection. Violating the Constitution. Using your job to enrich yourself and family. Get people to lie for you.
Become best friends with the world's most notorious pedophile and prey on young women and girls together, then cover up the evidence and investigations, using numerous hush money (NDA's) to keep your victims quiet.
More traits that a good Boy Scout Leader and patriotic American speaks out against and people that exemplify those despicable traits

In contrast to speaking out against this behavior/these traits. Pete Hegseth elevates them and the person acting this way and adulates/worships him. Abusing his position as the Secretary of War to force the Boy Scouts of America to follow his anti humanity, discriminatory, self serving rules that line up with the agenda of the person described above that this Adult Leader in Troop 350 speaks out strongly against.
