This may be the first landfalling hurricane in 34 years! This will be a minimal hurricane with winds around 75 mph.
1. The previous one was a MAJOR hurricane with winds of 145 mph in 1992. That was one of the coolest Summer's in the contiguous United States history.
2. The only other hurricanes were a cat. 1 of 85 mph in 1959 and
3. A cat. 3 major hurricane in 1871 before there was instrumentation to measure wind speed.
