The elections traditionally start with Dixville Notch, NH, soon after midnight. Has anyone seen any results from there yet?
I haven't checked, Larry but this can start a thread with a gazillion posts on this key election.
I will make an initial point: Many of the R candidates are WEAK candidates because the R primaries picked all the Trump candidates. Since MAGA and Donald Trump dominate the R party, that worked great for the primaries.
But in the general election, the MAGA/Trump candidates are getting very few votes from non MAGA voters, while the R candidate that LOST in the primary, especially the non MAGA R that didn't swear allegiance to Donald Trump would have done MUCH better.
MAGA would have voted for the non MAGA R in this election.
Some Independents(the key) would have voted for the non MAGA R and this group is what will make the difference in many extremely close, key races.
Independents have turned profoundly AGAINST MAGA and AGAINST Donald Trump.
The reason for that has been entirely self inflicted. It would be one thing if Donald Trump had 2 brain diseases and talked/behaved like an unhinged lunatic but his agenda and policies were working for most Americans.
1. (ruinous-inflation causing-export damaging) tariffs are his favorite word!
2. IRAN WAR
3. Bragging about how much money the rich people/oil companies(and Donald Trump) are making from the war and the stock market.
Then going to rally's in red states and using messages like this, along with deranged stories and verbiage the last 2 weeks, while insisting "Pretend I'm on the ballot" and messages like the one that promises to give every American $5,000 if his party wins the House and Senate.
It not a matter of this costing the R party more additional votes but how many (millions) of votes that flipped to the D party because of this:

I'm still working outside on repairing our underground irrigation system today but am looking forward to reporting and reading election results later today here.
Thanks again, Larry for starting this thread
