Well, I thought I would share a recent trade. I am still learning but have found I do better when I look for opportunities and not just trade to trade. I have been trading GLD this month. My most recent was buying a call spread on Thursday.  I bought the 112 oct call and sold the 114 sept. Today I sold the spread for a 22% gain. I was planning on holding the position until the sept call expired but when I saw a 22% return in 4 business days, I took it.

Actually, I'm thinking that being a meteorologist, especially one that chose that as their 2nd career might give you an advantage.

Why is that?

Aside from the obvious of you being able to use the weather to try to position ahead of the markets reaction for certain commodities that trade off of weather at certain times of year, your profession requires that you must be analytical. 

There is much more too it than that but at least that's an advantage in this business and you need every advantage you can get.
