Wow almost too funny to read. Seems in Lincoln's time blacks were in chains. Not now. Seems in Lincoln's time he employed no blacks. Trump does. In Lincoln's time the blacks were hunted as chattel. How many payrolls with tons of blacks on it did Lincoln have to meet every week? Trump  does. Today Trump has the black unemployment to historical low numbers....Ohhh is that what this article is about, in Lincoln's time blacks had full employment as slaves, just as the libs wish they still were. All controlled by a all knowing bloated federal government.

mc, how dare you compare Trump's history with blacks  to Lincoln, who merely freed the slaves.

From your post, it appears that you  didn't bother to fully read the referenced post, so here are some quotes.

" Is it unreasonable, Lincoln asked in that speech 180 years ago, “to expect, that some man possessed of the
loftiest genius, coupled with ambition sufficient to push it to its utmost stretch, will at some time,  spring up    amongst us?”

" And when such a one does rise up amongst us, Lincoln warned, “it will require the people to be united with
each other, attached to the government and laws, and generally intelligent, to successfully frustrate his
 designs.”
Lincoln predicted if such a figure should arise among us, “Distinction will be his paramount object”
and, “nothing left to be done in the way of building up, he would set boldly to the task of pulling down.”

There is, even now,” Lincoln said of his time, in which white supremacy mobs were torturing and hanging blacks,
“something of ill-omen amongst us.” He spoke of “the increasing disregard for law which pervades the country; the growing disposition to substitute the wild and furious passions, in lieu of the sober judgment of the  Courts; and the worse than savage mobs, for the executive ministers of justice.”

why do libs pull this every time. I was not comparing, the author was comparing. Now to the facts he left out. Lincoln freed the slaves. The libs spent the next 100 years trying to force them on the big government plantation. With today's historic numbers you could make the case that Trump has freed them again.....is that another reason for all the lib hate toward trump?

Of course he did, but slavery wasn't the focus of the article ... until you made the Trump black history comparison.

The article was about Lincoln predicting a possible scenario like we are presently experiencing ... which you completely ignored.

must of missed the part where Lincoln predicted a highly unusual candidate to not only run but win the Presidency and then be accused of being a racist all the while he is freeing the blacks from big government tyranny. Point that out. Right, dangerous scarey man, that Trump. Not the libs of today would ever notice but blacks actually have jobs and IRA's and pension funds, and the terror of terrors, stock market accounts. Hell I bet soon we will have some that trade grains or precious metals for God's sake.

I have to admit this got me laughing.

Is it unreasonable, Lincoln asked in that speech 180 years ago, “to expect, that some man possessed of the loftiest genius, coupled with ambition sufficient to push it to its utmost stretch, will at some time, spring up amongst us?”

Good to hear that our president possesses "the loftiest genius."

“it will require the people to be united with each other, attached to the government and laws, and generally intelligent, to successfully frustrate his designs.”

"attached to the government and laws" - no one who is actually informed today would consider this to be the DOJ or the FBI.  Obama's DOJ and the FBI conspired to deny Donald Trump the presidency.  Don't believe this?  That only means that you are getting all your "news" from places like CNN or MSNBC.  If you really doubt it, wait for Sy Hersh's new book!

“There is, even now,” Lincoln said of his time, in which white supremacy mobs were torturing and hanging blacks, “something of ill-omen amongst us.” He spoke of “the increasing disregard for law which pervades the country

Is this referring to Chicago?  Detroit?  Baltimore?  The "white supremacy mobs" being the Democrat controlled governments that do nothing to stop the killing of black residents?

Just think - who actually benefits from keeping blacks poor and uneducated?  Who have they historically voted for?

What is the current unemployment rate for blacks?  Suppose Donald J. Trump had anything to do with that low number??  Why are the Democrats terrified of having any black celebrities say anything good about Donald Trump?

He seems more comfortable with the Putins and Kim Jong-uns of this troubled world rather than our proven friends.

Ah, yes, things were going SO GOOD with Kim Jong-un.  And, Trump has been SO SO SOFT on Russia.

What is it with these people who write this s***?  Is it really that much of an echo chamber that they live in?

He has spurned other nations in the worldwide war against climate change.

Thank you Donald Trump for that!

He has honed his knife to cut back key domestic programs

Do they mean food stamps, etc.?  They probably fail to see that this is a result of putting people back to work!  Do the Democrats really want to see blacks and other minorities totally dependent on government?  Is the destruction of the family in black neighborhoods - caused by current welfare programs - really a good thing?  It's the Democrats that seem to want to keep blacks down on the plantations, isn't it?

Easy to see how Donald Trump is looked on as a villain from the Left's point of view.

He has called the media, which has long been a bulwark of our freedoms, “an enemy of America.”

If you have spent any time watching both sides, it is abundantly clear that the MSM clearly is "an enemy of America."  Again, if you don't believe this, wait for Sy Hersh's new book to come out.

This all looks nothing like “Make America Great Again.” It looks disturbingly more like the Pulling Down of America by one who has sprung up among us—something that Lincoln warned of nearly two centuries ago.

Of course - standing up for America to all the countries who have become "entitled" to taking advantage of America just has to be wrong!  Actually trying to reverse job loss and theft of intellectual property and defense secrets must be wrong!  Exerting some control over who comes into our country as immigrants must be wrong!  Confronting the globalists who want to turn our country into just another third world s***h**** must be wrong!  A booming economy, while the rest of the world languishes and is dependent on our economy, must be immoral!

I could go on, but I think you get my point.

wow, what a post cfdr. Just sad that the libs here will not read it or learn one thing from reading it. Could be the post of the year actually. And just today at the UN President Trump addressed many of these same subjects to the world community. So damn funny to see the snakes duck under the table tops as he pointed out the abject failures of the commys around the room.
