How does that saying go again?  "Wishful thinking, thy name is liberalism"...    Or is it,  "Liberalism,  thy name is wishful thinking"?.   Doesn't matter,  works either way.  We can leave the debate on the semantics up to the philosophers.

History is certainly in your favor.  Midterms are often not so good for the incumbent presidents party.

Polling?  A big question mark there.  Nothing conclusive..
