I have always wondered why china needs 6 % GDP growth or china and everybody else in the world has deep concerns

However in the USA 2.8% or less is acceptable, so long as it is above -- what??? 1% ??

Why the difference in needed GDP growth?? USA vs. china

It's all relative.  If US was running at 4% plus for a few years and suddenly dropped to 2, the investment world would be concerned.  It's a reduction.  Reduction in positive measures, like growth, is generally perceived as bad.
