I think the bean crop, as a whole is in worse shape thqn corn. Too many fields that are just too slow to grow. I know beans can be short and yield but stunted beans don't yield
Even the good looking beans may have yield problems
Just going by farmer reports which may be suspect, not too many people are thinking they will have average yields with most expecting lower yields
When the pods start to form, we will know but i think the beans are in big trouble. Not enough nodes for pods to develope, plus day length maaking for a shorter time frame to fill the plant with pods, when beans are planted in June

Also, widespread dryness has developed in the central and eastern belt.
If week 2 forecasts verify with a big increase in rains and continue for August, things will not go backwards because August weather is most important for beans, being the month of pod filling.
Should those extended period rains get taken out, beans can make new highs.
