"Beijing (CNN)The US-China trade war ratcheted up yet again on Friday, with Beijing unveiling a new round of retaliatory tariffs on about $75 billion worth of US goods.
China will place tariffs of 5% or 10% on US imports starting on September 1st, according to a statement posted by China's Finance Ministry.
The Ministry also announced plans to resume tariffs on US imports of automobiles and automobile parts. The tariffs would be 25% or 5%, and would take effect on December 15th."
metmike: The reason that China did this, is because their leader is watching American politics. Not only are they NEVER going to agree to anything before the 2020 election because they assume that Trump will be defeated and then, they can go back to their unethical, unfair trading abuses with the new Democratic president but they are using the MSM attacking Trump as their ally.

This past week, the MSM went on a full court press, anti Trump binge, painting him as antisemitic because he challenged Jews, who have an overwhelming allegiance to the democratic party, to instead, look at his record supporting Israel as the most pro Israel president ever.
Then, when he had a BRILLIANT idea to buy Greenland that got the kibash(note the Jewish term to fit in with this week) and his idea called "absurd" by the leader of Denmark and his poor response was to refer to his brilliant idea being called absurd as being a "nasty" response...........the MSM went after him like a pack of piranha's.
They labelled his brilliant idea as being crazy to support the one side's absurd description, then told us that Trump is a misogynist that hates woman because the leader of Denmark is a woman.
This comes after the mass shootings earlier this month in which the MSM blamed Trump because he used the word invasion to describe the invasion at our southern border and the El Paso shooter also used the word invasion.
As cliff-e reminded us on the NTR forum, this has caused Trump's disapproval rating to drop.
The Chinese leader was watching and celebrating with the MSM as they become more successful at getting people to hate Trumps guts with disinformation about him.

Lucky for me, I had an open order in to buy SX lower that hadn't been filled and cancelled it several hours prior to that........... deciding that, if the beans start making new lows and the funds are in a selling mood at 8:30am, it's a very bad place to be long.
