Do you think that Trump's agreement with them to do more to  stop people from crossing thru Mexico to invade the US illegally is helping?

I believe Mexico is making somewhat of an effort, but probably not enough.

If I was president (as an experienced Monday-night quarterback) I would immediately stop the insane catch-and-release program, and replace it with a catch-and-ship-back-to-Mexico program. I would arrest them, take down their names,  and load them into a nice bus to Mexico. And I would tell them, if they are arrested a second time, they would face some serious prison time... "and remember, kids cannot come with you to jail. If you don't like being separated from your kids (if these really are your kids), stay home." 

I believe, the Mexican border towns would then be even more overwhelmed with foreigners, than they are now, and the Mex. gov. would make a stronger effort to close their southern borders.

That makes complete sense.
