Sep-July shipments of U.S. #soybeans to #China total 10.65 mmt, down 62% on the year. That is the smallest volume for the period since 2005/06.

50% or more of exported U.S. #soybeans went to #China in May-June-July, much more than usual. But exports to other countries in that time were normal, if not on the higher end of recent averages (except for last year, which was very anomalous. Trade war put U.S. beans on sale).

Here's what that looks like. It is important because it shows that exports of U.S. #soybeans to non-#China destinations have not trailed off despite the big start to the year. However, 2019/20 sales are pretty slow so far compared with previous years.

SA shipped 60,732 tonnes of #pork to #China in July, smashing the all-time monthly record of 53,145 set in Nov. 2011. Jan-July exports stand at 237,793 tonnes, also a record for the period (old record 226k in 2016).
