Pres Trump was touring California this week. As expected, on many of his stop-overs protesters showed up. There were Democrats, and there were Republicans lining the streets, all carrying signs and hollering at their opponents. Minor scuffles broke out on various locations.

In Beverly Hills, a group of protesters burned the US flag... which lead to a minor fist-fight.

I am trying to understand....

The flag does not represent the President, it represents the USA, So, if some people burn the flag, they are not displaying their dislike of Trump.... rather, they are showing their hatred for the USA.... just as it is done in places like Iran, Pakistan, etc.

It is difficult for me to understand how someone can hate their home country.

Do the Democrats hate the USA?

Or, maybe, these flag-burners are not Democrats....maybe the are not even citizens...maybe they are "immigrants", in which case they should be escorted out of the country.

In most countries, this is illegal. Some offenders can get prison time for doing this.

Clearly a display of hatred.

Can you imagine Martin Luther King burning the American flag?

Or Rosa Parks?
