Leaf colors around here in SW Indiana(we drove to Nashville TN today and i noted the same thing) don't appear as vibrant as some years. 

Likely the result of the drought. We had our 2nd driest September and one of the hottest.  It also hurt the double crop and late planted beans that were still filling.
