Piggies

I can't help but think something is afoot in piggies.  How ironic that the US is in the middle of record pork production at the same time China has dire need.  I know that China owns some hog farms in the US, though I don't know how large they are or what their impact on the market is.  But if you are a cynical person, you could hypothesize, they knew this was coming and ramped up pork production significantly and in the process hurting US hog producers from making windfall profits, if there was just normal production.

Border areas of china and Russia have seen the disease spread to Russia

Although Russia does not have such a large hog population and the number of affected animals plus those killed in an effort to contain the disease, is small

The fact remains ASF is spreading and more countries will most likely be affected

I quit buying Smithfield brand products after China bought them out. Along with other companies who gave way to foreign buyers. Call me patriotic. I believe in supporting American based companies.
